SmartStyle Hair Salon in Cedar Hill, TX

I had much higher expectations for this place; although I've never been to this particular location, I've been a frequent customer to other locations and have had good service. My first problem was that they charge $55 just for a wash and style. A WASH AND STYLE!! The stylist said it was because my hair is natural. But my hair is only like three inches long! I never had to pay that much at any of the other locations! Those are some New York prices! I agreed to that price because I was desperate. My next problem was when she burned my ear with the flat iron. I flinched twice then she told me to stop moving. I told her that I was moving because she kept burning me. She argued with me that she did not burn me but it was the heat. I told her it didn't feel like heat to me. I think she saw that I was upset so she started being friendly. Fast forward to the styling. All I asked for was a ponytail. She did a good job with straightening my hair, but didn't put anything like gel or hairspray to keep it in place, so as soon as I got to the car my hair was all over the place. She didn't even know how to put the ponytail in. When I got home I had to redo my hair. To top it all off, she also didn't know how to put edge control on my edges. I'm like for $55 you should be an expert! They do ethnic hair all the time so why don't they know something basic like that? The only good thing besides getting my hair straight was that I got a military discount.

I absolutely love this salon! The service is Awesome! The stylists are very professional and knows exactly what's needed pertaining to your hair's health. I have great comfort in knowing that each visit, my hair is in the best care! The management team is exceptional! The store manager D'Andra is very knowledgeable and very committed to providing and overall great service when needed. Highly recommended!!

Just leaving here wanted to get a haircut they don't close for another hour and 15 minutes but they said they would not take me oh well I don't want anyone cutting my hair who does not want to won't come back here again

I called to set an appointment for 1130. I arrived on time and waited on Kym to finish her client in her chair. Now, remind you that my appointment began at 1130. I DID NOT leave until 630. There is no way I should have to be at a beauty shop for 6 hours and all I got was a wash and a perm rod set. Like seriously!

I arrived for a 1330 appointment and for the first time ever the stylist was actually ready for me. The last time I made an appointment at another beauty shop I waited for an hour and a half with an appointment. Kym was my stylist and she performed the following services: wash, deep condition, silk press & style. I am very happy with the results & I'll definitely be back.
