BL Nails in Cedar Hill, TX

$24 dollars for just gel polish application. No manicure because I just did all that myself. I just needed polish. And the charge was for basically a full manicure. And I still tipped 20%.

Was greeted kindly. Was told 30min to 40 min wait. Didn't like it, but no biggie. An asian lady came after me about 5 minutes. We both had waited already 30 for her and abt 35 min for me. He called her up first. I kindly told him i was there before her unless she had an appt i could understand. He said no no she already washed her hands. I said i was told to just see the nail color i wanted. He assumed i knew to wash my hands. I didnt think of it at the time and was only choosing a color. Wasnt told to wash hands and that is what i told him. I sat in a chair when the other lady did, the man at front made sure of that. They picked an old bitter nail tech for me, probably on purpose. No smiles, rude the whole time yet in a sorta subtle way. When i told her i wanted basic($25) she immediately when to attotude with a bigger frown and from her body language. I told her i wear tennis shoes a bunch and gel womt last any longer on me. Kept telling her no gel, yet she asks, "Nongel?" Wtf? She was either rude and incompetent or just rude. Then she tried to upcharhe me. No surprise there for this is common among these asian run places. This is one reason I rarely frequent these places. I told her how rude she was and aggressively took my teceipt. I typically get a design on my toe. I just wanted to be out. I wont be back. The old hag needs another job. She needs to let it go if ppl dont want the overproced services. Ill visit black own next time. I typically do my own nails but just splurge here and there

10 years ago the service was great. Now all Jimmy, the owner, cares about rushing you through your service while over charging you. He's rude to his employees and treats his business like a sweat shop. The techs can't talk to you. All they can do is rush the service to get the next one in and out. This is in no way a "spa" atmosphere anymore. Please don't waste your time, gas or money driving to this nail "parlor". There are many many other salons that would greatly appreciate you patronizing their services and provide the utmost in customer care. Jimmy sucks.

I got a pedicure and gel polish only and the price was $60. That would not have been bad if the polish job on my nails was decent. The gel polish was very lumpy and uneven. Not going back.

I have been going to BL Nails for about 10 years. I have always felt welcomed (and entertained) by Jimmy and his staff.
