Sky Nails in Laurel, MD

First off I walked in and said I had an appointment with Mai. A woman and gentlemen greet me and the gentlemen tells me to have a seat after completing a Covid form. I notice that a woman is never going to come and this extremely aggressive guy is going to do my full set and seems to have no knowledge on what I requested for my appointment. Once the acrylic was placed on I realized not only am I not at the salon I had an appointment with but this guy is going to rip my nails out my hand if I request for him to remove it. I ask what the price is and he says something about the woman telling me. Long story short I got the worst full gel set I've ever experienced and was charged 60 lol. This was so terrible it should of been 30-40. I didn't even get the set I wanted just straight color. I wasn't even in the mood to argue with them. I just asked why is this 60 and pointed out all the flaws and told them to keep they crappy card. I'll upload pics for y'all so you can see for yourself.

I went to this salon a few days ago after work. Typically I go across town but I was tired and wanted a pedi. This place was close by and was pretty calm and quiet. I went in for gel pedi. Came out with the sides of toenail clipped, a chunk of skin and flesh that was literally scrubbed off the side of my foot, and a horrible paint job. Now the sidewalls of my big toes are jagged, and it was covered with gel polish, that was literally running out. The polish is streaky because instead of trying to open a new polish that is full he was tilting the bottle and then brush was still dry. Lots of polish is in my cuticle line. And my wound is red and hurting. I texted the shop the next day I was told to put Vaseline on it and if I come back I'll get a free service. Why would I do such a thing? Now I have to wait months for my regular nail shape to grow back. I have to wait weeks for this gel polish to grow out of my cuticles. And who knows how long it will take for my skin to heal, and I'm sure after that I'll have scab in the arch of my foot. Not very comfortable. Please save yourself a headache and pain and go to another salon.

This is the worse nailsalon ever! Doesn't give you the price up front, overcharge for color change and full set, and cannot do lash extensions at all. I went to get my lashes done Nd provided my own strip. upon doing so I was never told my lashes would only last maybe two days until I already paid and complained about them being uneven and crooked and coming up. Instead of providing me a refund she just put extra glue that didn't help lash to stick and blamed it on the brand of lashes! i wouldn't recommend this nailsalon to anybody! Definitely a 1 out of 10

I came to get a pedicure here at sky nails and not only were my nails done horribly. My gel polish wasn't dry. There was acrylic all over my skin. My cuticles were literally BURNING BECAUSE THE DRILL TAKING MY SKIN OFF. I was expected to pay when I demanded to have this taken off my nails. THE POLICE WERE CALLED AND OF COURSE I WAITED FOR THEM TO COME. Officer Yang stated that he has a wife and he couldn't BELIEVE MY NAILS WERE DONE. His first reaction being "OH WOW". HE STATED THAT BY LAW I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR MY SERVICES EVEN THOUGH THE SERVICE GIVEN WASNT DONE PROPERLY. I took my citation and I will see them in court. I WOULD NEVER PAY FOR SUCH POOR WORK. And her excuse for this poor job was the size of toe nails. IM DONE. I would definitely advise against this nail salon.

I have been coming to Sky Nails for many years. They always do a great job and are always friendly and professional. They have also been very diligent about sanitation during the pandemic.
