Nails 2000 in Laurel, MD

This nail shop offers the dip powder for nails but they don't have trained nail techs to properly apply the service they offer. If you are looking for a nail shop to do dip powder application without a gel overlay stay away from Nails 2000. They have no clue about the proper dip powder application. When done correctly it is not necessary to put gel over a dip powder manicure. Also your nails should be completely dry when the tech is done with your manicure. That's the beauty of a dip powder manicure. You should not have to wait for your nails to dry as I did. Total waste of my time and money. If I could give less than a one star rating I would.

Before I arrived, I gave them a call to get an idea of what to expect. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Mylee and immediately picked my color for a gel manicure and pedicure. They had my water prepared and probably waited about 40 minutes before someone began working on my pedicure. Being that they were understaffed, I waited and they continued to apologize so that made me feel slightly better. The nail tech did a great job and was very quick. Afterwards, I had my gel manicure done by Mylee who I'd highly recommend. She was so personable and did a great job. I'd probably return for a gel manicure and skip the pedicure but then again this salon was a hike so we'll see.

I came in for a pedi and dip powder. O M G they don't sanitize after each customer. disgusting. The lady did dip powder over my natural nails and it looks horrible. It's rugged looking and bumpy... she did gel over my nails, and i told her i didn't want gel! She says it looks better.. it's shiny... i didn't want to pay, but i didn't want any problems either. Usually i tip really good, but the work was just horrible. So no tip, and i will not return!

They rushed me in and out in between jobs and left half as much hair on my brows as when I came in. Please stop rushing and doing sloppy work. The gentlemen that took my money at the front desk recognized it and asked me to wait so it could be fixed. Nope. If this is the level of quality that you are comfortable with your customers walking out with, then you just lost a potential new one. Do better.

My first time in this salon and I will not be returning. You know how you can get the feeling that people are talking about you? Yeah, well everyone was staring when I walked in and no one had a sense of urgency to help me. When I got in the chair, I was never asked what kind of pedicure I wanted. The pedicure was mediocre at best. I had intentions of getting a full set and a pedicure but I refused to waste anymore money in an establishment I am not satisfied with. It's really hard to find a good salon, but it's okay, I will keep looking.
