Sista's Hair Cut & Beauty Salon in Los Angeles, CA

MIRIAM IS AWSOME!!!! I was nervous to let anyone work on my hair because years ago, another salon damaged my hair. She explained so much and gave me options. Miriam did not rush my appointment nor rush to make my next appointment. She told me to go home and think about what I preferred doing and then give her a call to schedule. Loved this place! Also my layers were amazing! Not chopped up at all. I definitely recommend this salon!

From the looks outside the place looks like a hole in a wall BUT WAIT till u go inside and have a seat with the lady hair styler . She has skills it was fast clean and on point all the edges were straight. She has good hair trimmers and used all the different blades hitting those perfect lines . Fresh cut under 15 minutes . She can also trim beards and eyebrows. She did a great job !

I've been looking for an affordable, no-frills place to get my haircut near my house. Growing up with a beautician mom and free haircuts, I won't pay more than $30 for a haircut, which is incredibly challenging in LA. I have been cutting my own hair but decided I needed a pro trim. I was able to walk-in on a Sunday and only wait 10 mins. Sista did not do my cut but it was another, younger woman with blonde hair. Haircut was great and not rushed, did not include a wash but only $25. I got a bit excited and also requested highlights on my dark hair which I ended up not caring for - but this rating is for HAIRCUT only. Really nice people, not overly chatty, clean, Hispanic family operation. They were jamming some great Mexican tunes which I enjoyed. A good option if you don't need the bougie salon experience!

I needed an affordable haircut and needed a new salon. I honestly had a good experience going to Mystik for about a year and a half, but then my stylist upped her price from $40-$50 and I didn't realize it till I had my credit card out (+ tip so now it's more like a $60 cut) and that's out of my budget. Fool me once shame on you... Enter Sistas! I found her though Yelp, called and she got me in that afternoon. Sista is a super personable chatty lady. She knows her way around a pair of scissors and she keeps her prices low, as a cut is $25. I gave a + $5 tip, so done and done for $30, and the cut looks like it's worth $100. Quick, reasonably priced and GOOD. *But, warning to all those wanting a bougie salon experience. This $25 does not include getting your hair washed and massaged in a beautiful Instagram worthy minimalist hipster paradise where then you tag hipster stylist. She wet my hair with a spray bottle and went to town. Again, no frills but a great cut. And that's what I'm after, me happy.

I think I've said this in other yelp reviews I've written, which is not many. I don't post much, unless I feel REALLY compelled. This is one of those times. I've been going here for about 4 years and I LOVE it. It's a quaint, hole-in-the-wall, mom n' pop barber shop and I always get amazing haircuts at very reasonable prices. Ana is one of the hair dressers and has been cutting my hair all four years. She is so great! So professional, nice and cuts hair really well! She's the kind of dresser who learns your style and is consistent. Ana is amazing! I love this place and give it all of my Yelp review support!
