Signature Nail Spa in Rocky Mount, NC

Visited this salon while in town and they were really busy. We had to wait over an hour to be seen, but once we got our mani + pedi, it was great!

Visited this salon yesterday (04/26/22)  while in town visiting family and it was a horrible experience. I had a hard gel overlay that was removed by having my fingers soaked in acetone instead of wrapped which made my nails very fragile. Once the older gentlemen began to work on my nails, he had the nail tools turned up so high that it was burning my nail beds even after I asked him to turn it down. He completely ruined the smooth surface of my natural nails (see photos). He also didn't even want to wait for the hard gel overlay to completely soak off before rushing into the application of the dip powder which is another reason he was overusing the tool on my nails.

I asked for dip powder and he didn't use it properly and when I brought that up, he argued me down about how it was the best method for the customer with the way he did them. I know that this is false because he didn't even have the proper dip powder products and I get it all the time in LA and it lasts for about 3-4 weeks. He used a liquid method that most likely is due to the salon being cheap and wanting to preserve products. He also used a hard bristle hairbrush to wipe the dust off my skin. (See photos).

There weren't multiple layers put on, just one thick and uneven layer. He drilled my nails off unevenly under the dip once finished when attempting to get the hardened product that dripped into the nail bed area when applying it. He applied the dip like it was an acrylic set from an outdated time. See video.

When asking if he could do it the proper way, he refused and did what he wanted instead despite me being the paying customer. For this uneven, sloppy set, and also now very painful nail beds, I paid $60 and $65 with tax. The gel topcoat that I didn't want is also not smooth and the nails aren't shaped evenly. (See photos)

I would advise that you go somewhere else if you actually want quality nails and someone who actually listens to what you want. He attempted to get another woman to show me her nails as she was leaving to prove my nails would come out right and they did not. He also started working on this woman's nails who came in after me in the middle of mine and she was finished and exited first. Poor customer service, a waste of money, and time. I'm going back to have them removed.

I had been searching for a new nail spa for months and finally found a hidden gem. Going in they greeted you. I was seated at a pedicure chair soaking my feet as I waited for a technician. I watched Millie give a customer a pedicure which made me try one similar. Lee was my technician. He was courteous (all the staff was), professional and did an excellent job!! As I was leaving out the door, they said "Thank You" (said it to everyone).I HIGHLY recommend and will!! Thanks all for a WONDERFUL new and first experience!

I am from California and I thought that I would have a hard time finding a good nail salon. love this place more than five stars and I will be going back every two weeks.

Visiting the area for a couple days found this place on Yelp and enjoyed a relaxing & very well done walk-in pedicure  The salon is Covid conscious & clean & the staff are friendly & kind ‍
