My teenage daughter and I have been going to Sandi-kaye for 2+ years. It all started when my daughter expressed that she wanted to turn her natural hair into dreadlocks. I really wanted to stay in the MOCO area, so I searched for a while on the internet, discovered Shyphenk and decided to give it a try. That was the best decision I made. She maintains my daughters locks (which are beautiful) on a monthly basis. Also, Sandi-kaye colors, cuts, washes, and styles my hair on a regular basis. I recommend Shyphenk to anyone who: 1. Is looking for an experienced and skilled hair artist. 2. Is looking for a calm, pleasant, and professional hair artist. 3. Wants to be the only client at the time of his/her appointment, so you aren't sitting at the salon for half of the day. 4. Is looking for a salon that is in a nice shopping area. Long story short: Sandi-kaye is amazing! So don't wait to make your appointment. :)

Was looking for a regular stylist and saw her on yelp. Told her an showed her a pic of my style. Tapered back short sides long on top but she left my hair a choppy mess. She kept saying I'm not a barber however she is a stylist you don't have to be a barber to know how to cut. After she covered it up by giving me finger coils. The only good thing is she did offer to correct it when I called her however correct thing it would've meant cutting my hair even shorter. Besides I'd she jacked me up once why return? I don't recommend she's more hype then skill

I got a wash and blow dry and she was so gentle and quick! I'll definitely be coming back :)

I can't say enough great things about Shyphenk and Ms. Sandi-Kaye. About a year ago I began bringing my girls to her (12 and 14, both with 4b and 4c). She worked miracles with their hair. Honestly, I was ruining their hair ‍. She also guided me on how to maintain their hair during the height of the pandemic. Thanks to Ms. Sandi-Kaye, both my girls have beautiful, thick, healthy heads of hair. Yesterday, I went to Ms. Sandi-Kaye for starters locs. I received a wash, blow dry, and cut. We decided to start with twists. I received so many compliments on my twists (from strangers in stores!) that I am seriously considering pausing my loc journey and sticking with twists for a while. I am in love with this look! What I love most about Ms. Sandi-Kaye is that she takes the time to educate me on what she thinks needs to be done and why. For me, that "why" is so important because it will help me maintain my hair between visits. What to expect when you visit? The shop is clean and has a relaxing and organized atmosphere. There is plenty of parking. There are restaurants and a wine bar either next door or across the lot. Making an appointment is easy to do via the app. You can also call or walk in to schedule an appt. In over a year, Ms. Sandi-Kaye has never been late for our appointments. This is major because I remember going to shops when I was younger and having to wait for hours after my appointment time. I have zero time for that. Ms. Sandi-Kaye does not over book. Lastly, her prices are very reasonable. She works efficiently and pleasantly. Her fingers are magic!!! Sandi is the consummate hair stylist, she handles her business like a Fortune 500 company and my hair is always flawless when I leave her chair. When Sandi started taking care of my hair, over six months ago, I was in the midst of transitioning from relaxed hair to natural hair. She expertly flat irons my hair, and has allowed me to maintain my hair's length and avoid "the big chop." She only works on one client at a time, and I am usually in and out of the salon in less than 60 minutes. Sandi provides 5-Star service.
