My husband was here April 1-10/2022 on the second floor. I do not recommend this hospital. Most of the nurses were not kind or friendly. Later I found out they have a high turnover rate of nurses. Nurses do not respond to calls in a timely matter, could be 20 minutes or longer. They never waited for my husband while he was in the restroom to help him back to bed. After this happened repeatedly, He was getting to the bathroom and back to bed on his own. His record indicated he is a fall risk. His nighttime medicine was not given to him at the time requested. On several occasions, his food was cold when he got it. I checked my husband out on a Sunday, two days earlier than his discharge date because I did not feel it was a safe environment. One evening I tried to call him on his cell and room phone and did not get an answer. I was afraid he had fallen while getting himself to the restroom and I was having a full blown anxiety attack. I called security and asked them to ring nurses station on second floor and no one picked up. Security had to call nurses station on third floor to get someone to go to his room to check on him. All these complaints were discussed with the nurse supervisor before he was discharged. Several weeks later we received a letter of acknowledgement from Sheltering Arms saying they would be looking into these matters. That was the last time I heard from them.
