I never thought I would see the day when I did not need a relaxer. I've been coming here for two years and now I can proudly say," I am natural" (no more relaxers since 2021...thank you Star D). It was the best thing that could've happened to me. I feel like I'm spending time with family. There's nothing like a good laugh, nice conversation and a friendly and professional environment, (Janine is hilarious and an awesome stylist). I am so grateful for every last one of the beauticians, especially the owner (Nekeia the Grand Diva of stylist). Brittany is aaaamaazzzing (and my stylist), Kiara did a wonderful job when I went to Vegas for my 50th (I was cute) ... I take my hat off to every last one of those ladies (they are all talented) ...... nothing but Shear Essence. Thank you for making me feel oh so beautiful every time I leave the salon! #ACUSTOMER
Do not expect to be seen at your scheduled appointment time. Both times I have gone I've waited at least an hour to be seen. My sister and I have both had our appointments canceled by email, with no explanation and had to call the salon after, to inquire about rescheduling. My sister rescheduled and then that one was canceled as well with no explanation . They don't have the courtesy to call you to reschedule after they cancel your appointment. After I called to reschedule, I was given a new appointment. I showed up to the new appointment and no one has any clue what I'm there for or who my stylist is; I wasn't even on their schedule for the day. This Salon needs needs to work on their customer service skills; it is highly lacking.
I have been going to this salon for over 10 years. I love that the stylist all get along, I have seen different in other salons. I love that they have accommodated me when I have needed to make a last minute change to my appointment. The owner really knows how to handle a business, great customer service, friendly environment and again the staff getting along is wonderful. Finally, my stylist is just the BEST. She is honest with me, takes care of my hair, tells me how to maintain it during the hot summers and when I walk out I just feel fantastic. Thank-you Shear Essence for being a top notch BEAUTY SALON!!
Never received the promise follow up call from the manager. Subsequently I've been place to place to fix the wrongdoings of their stylist. Bad experience
New location: 476 Clifton Ave, Clifton, NJ 07011 Business ethic is trash. Kept my girl waiting for HOURS, even after making an appointment, with NO explanations, and NO apologies. What's the point of making an appointment if to arrive and be kept waiting? Very unprofessional!
