She treats you like family. She does an outstanding job with your hair. The prices are very reasonable. I would recommend everyone to come get their hair done or get their haircut.

I've known Sharon (the proprietor) for almost 60 years. Sent her pictures of the style cut(short on sides and back/longer on top) and multi dimensional color(predominately silver/light grey/ light blue undertones) I was asking for. She ASSURED me 4 different times that she had the knowledge and ability to perform both procedures. First, she butchered/shaved my hair with clippers(I have naturally curly hair) very close to my scalp on the sides/back and left it so uneven with very uneven lengths causing it to look uneven and butchered. She did the first step in stripping color out of my hair. Had me wait 2 wks. to come back to finish stripping proceedure and add the color combo as asked for. Thinking she was going to clean up the cut and I could trust her (please don't judge me....I still thought of as my friend), I foolishly pre-paid her ($35 over her asking price). Upon returning for appt to complete all of the procedures,she emphatically assured me that my hair would look the way I asked for, but she was waiting for another stylist to bring supplies(she should've been prepared). She bought me lunch while I waited. Once other stylist arrived (after waiting 1.5 hrs), she was told to strip remaining color. She then delegated the color como to the other stylist(I hired Sharon NOT other stylist) who said she didn't quite know how to proceed and was instructed to "just follow directions on back of tube". Once, "color" was set, rinsed, towel blotted and I looked in the mirror...."shocked" doesn't begin to describe my emotions. My hair was TWO TONED PURPLE!!! I asked if any of the silver would come through as my hair dries and Sharon's reply was "yes". I honestly didn't feel I had reason to distrust her. Left her shop with damp hair. I had to sleep on the situation to be able to text her my anger, disappointment, bewilderment and hurt as to why she would do this(I've absolutely NEVER done or said anything to/about this person I thought of and called friend to warrant this abhorrent treatment). She knew I'd had 4 strokes within the last 9 months and stress is one of the major factors in my condition. Waited a few more days and finally contacted the BBB to report the incident. This happened approximately 30 days ago. It's taken me this long to contact Yelp(didn't know about the platforms on Yelp until 30 minutes ago) to give this review. Now, I am afraid to try another hairdresser to try to correct the mess she created. Also, too embarrassed to be in public with this two-toned purple butcher hack job without a hair coverings. She has no business still in business on ANY level. I pray NO ONE goes through this type of expirience sooo PLEASE do not go to Shea's in Lakewood(Tillicum) Wa.

Forgot to write my review! But this place is great! Friendly crowd, the employees are nice & love to hold a conversation, and you always leave with the desired results that you want. I came here on a few occasions, and although it's about a 45 minute drive from my house, it's worth the commute! Plus they specialize in everything! From dreads to weaves, and now lashes! Check this place out if you're ever in the area!
