Shakopee Heather Street Fantastic Sams Cut & Color in Shakopee, MN

I have held my mouth shut long enough! As a woman who has spent the last almost 3 years growing their hair back from Chemotherapy and Radiation causing me to lose all of my hair I came here and gave them a picture of what I wanted. Because I had been through chemo over a year ago they wanted to do a strand test, she came back over and said looks great! Let's get started! I said over 10 times NO MORE THAN .5 inches taken off as my hair is a part of my healing and my success in beating cancers butt! I walked out of there without even getting a blow dry because I was so sick to my stomach at what this girl did to my hair, my self esteem and my reward for beating cancer! She took off over 6 inches and made my hair bright orange! No apologies nothing! To top it off I had given her a $60 tip right away to ensure she would not mess up. After calling to have this resolved I found out that they applied a couple AFTER I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR IT WITH CASH. They stole over $40 from me on top of the disgusting mess they created. I have called and messaged over 10 times and all they say is I'll refund you or we can give you HAIR GROWTH TREATMENTS!! As a woman and cancer survivor my hair was so important to me and it made me strong and beautiful. They have treated me as if I'm scum Of the earth. Please do not go to this place, for the complete disgust and disrespect to cancer survivors and women in general! It costs them nothing to fix what they did with extensions NOTHING!!! But they refuse, so I had to be in my BFF wedding with the hair I will attach to this! I have the before and after pictures and THE PICTURE I gave the stylist

First off I would like to say that I have been to this location many times since the Pandemic of Covid-19. Always treated nicely. I went there on 12/19/2020, at 230pm. I wanted to bring Jimmy John's as a holiday gift to the gals working there as I know breaks to eat are very little right now. My gesture was barely appreciated, no matter as I felt great to surprise the girls and it was the spirit of giving. Getting to my appointment now... I had made the appointment the day before, wanted it with Rebecca, they said she was out and not sure when she will be there again. So I made it with Katie, a partial foil and cut. I called the morning of the appointment and confirmed my time and details of my appointment. The very sweet Kaitlyn, receptionist said she doesn't see my appointment with Katie? Then she saw it with Rebecca, I was happy about that as that is who I wanted in the first place... I get to my appointment few minutes early with food from JJ. Immediately asked to put on a different face mask (I said I have one in my purse and could switch between them, but for the length of the color treatment I need to wear one that allows me to breath better) I'm wearing a mask I said and due to my labored breathing this is what I wear! (Chin protected Face shield mask, which I've worn at hospitals and clinics) Jo a hairstylist said she'll ask her manager Katie I believe. She said ok. Then Jo proceeds to take me to her chair I said are you Katie, cuz I'm confused my appointment is with Rebecca! ( I see another woman in Becca's chair with Becca doing a color on) Becca says ha I can't do your hair cuz I'm doing someone else Becca and I have a good relationship at the salon so I was terribly shocked by this! I said Becca I really wanted you! She said I'll still talk with you, your right there ) across from her) I said that's not the same and that I'm shocked that I even called to confirm at 11 am! Why didn't you guys call and let me know of the change again... A third Change now!!! I looked at Jo, sat in her chair ... Jo said rudely am I doing your hair? I said with a smile yes please. She barely spoke to me unless I asked her or shared with her something. I declined a hair treatment and possibly toner job at the end if I didn't need it. (Saving money where I can) Ultimately I left that up to Jo as she new best if I would need that. During the rinsing phase one of the sweet stylist Erin came over and offered me a cotton medical mask and said will you please wear this since during rinsing Jo and you are so close... I said absolutely, that from the beginning I said I would wear one in short times. No problem. My hair was finished! First time ever at this salon location... And many hair colors done with foils... Was this a perfect color job! I was very happy and impressed that she got it right on the first try! Others there have not... ( But always made it right ) I went to pay for my hair... Three stylists, one the manager and sweet Kaitlyn nearby... The manager sitting in the middle of her team said to me, " I talked to the owner, they said your mask has to be the type of mask that they require! I said your owner does know I am wearing a mask right? She said I told them yes.... Then she said so rudely NO THAT'S NOT A MASK!!! THAT IS NOT A MASK!!! I WAS APPALLED, SICK TO MY STOMACH AND SO EMBARRASSED THAT THIS RUDE SAID MANAGER of maybe 27 yrs old... DID THUS TI ME INFRONT OF HER EMPLOYEES AND THEIR GUESTS IN THE STORE. I'M 55 YRS OLD, with a breathing disorder, huge grapefruit sized blood clot in my liver, non operable that forces out pockets of air to release that makes it so hard to breathe at times especially with cotton tight masks I had major back surgery a few months back, a brain tumor and skin cancer survivor! I struggle daily with my health and this horrible excuse of a manager for some really sweet girls there absolutely took so much pride in humiliating me INFRONT OF everyone there! I'm so sad I can't go back to this location ever again and I hope this reaches so many people and their owners see this! How dare anyone feel they have the have the right to hurt someone so much in any establishment! This is coming from a seasoned sales and operations manager of the hospitality industry. Fantastic Sams of Heather street in Shakopee MN I am absolutely NOT IMPRESSED BY YOUR ABSOLUTELY RUDENESS, HORRIBLE, HORRIFIC MANAGER STYLE AND ABSOLUTELY CLUELESS IN MASKS AS MY MASK IS ACCEPTED at all clinics, dentist and hospitals I go to on a regular basis. Since the phone number's the same, this might be their old location. Right now, it's located on 1349 Heather Street. If you're in for highlights.. I have 2 words.. STAY AWAY from Errin. I paid $141 for a partial highlights (of course... she rack it up and add 2 treatments and toner etc...) that you couldn't even see any. Saturday, I had it done. Monday, I called and spoke to Errin that I would like to get it fixed and redone. First she had a lot of excuses and that she explained to me blah blah blah in the middle of her working on my hair and realized she couldn't do what she said she can. And that I was aware about the end result LOL! She said she won't fix my hair, and that to let my hair rest for 2 weeks and come back. And then she'll redo it and charge me more $$$! I think it's ridiculous! Long story short, I called another location (same owner) and found the best hairstylist ever who took me in same day. She asked... where's the highlights? And why there's different color on the top LOL? She was a true Master Stylist and gave me the highlights I paid for. She knew what she was doing and cleaned up the mess. Most of all, she didn't charge me again since it's only been 2 days since I had it done. I only paid $5.

Jordan was incapable of following simple instructions. Terrible attempt at blending. Left a very visible line from where she tried to blend my hair. Very clear instructions on how I wanted my sideburns and decided to chop them off and leave them crooked. Completely unresponsive to what I was saying and just said "oh don't worry it's not that short." Completely left a chunk of hair on my neck. By far the worst haircut I have ever gotten in my life. Whatever licensing agency let her cut hair should be ashamed.

If you want the worst haircut of your life, this is the place for you. I asked for about three inches off, and now I don't have enough hair to put in a ponytail. I was given layers, and now I have a hairstyle that does not suit my face whatsoever. I cried for hours when I got home because it was so bad. DO NOT go here. They will not listen to you. They'll give you the haircut THEY want. It's also very overpriced. I will never go back.
