Went in for a foil/color, when the process was over, went to wash out, she had to put toner on to fix the blonde/bleach color.. Then on to a simple trim, nothing more than split ends , is what I asked for, now, I have one side chopped up and short , the other side long ... WTH just happened? I also have extreme blonde patches of color that does not look good . I have pictures to prove it and $120 bill I paid for . Unbelievable !

When I walked in my hair was past my shoulders. Long enough to put up or back into a nice ponytail. The cut I wanted, as I explained with words and pictures to A., was shorter in the back and angled to the front. The front was supposed to be past my shoulders so I could still put my hair up. I knew the back wouldn't be long enough and I was fine with that. Too many layers from a previous cut needed to be reduced. I thought how I wanted that done was made clear. I don't spend a lot of time on my hair so when A. was done I didn't want her to blow dry or style my hair. When I got home I realized that apparently what I wanted didn't matter. What I wanted was an inverted lob but because too much was cut off in the front I couldn't even tell it was inverted. My hair looked like a shorter version of what I had when I walked in. Allure has a five day guarantee. Not happy? Come back within five days to get it fixed. I went back after three days. Thinking that because I was willing to have more cut off the back, I would get a cut closer to what I originally wanted. How silly of me to think that. When A. was done she walked me to the front as though there was an expectation that I would pay full price again. I reminded her of the five day guarantee. She went to get the manager but the receptionist came out of the office instead. I told her what happened and she ended up sending me on my way with a smile and no mention of having to pay again. She is the reason I put one star. She was the only one who's behavior felt sincere. When I arrived home I checked the cut. It was obvious that A. didn't care about doing a good job. Not only were the angled parts in front uneven, they were also different thicknesses. I wanted choppy , messy layers in the back but some parts were barely cut. I was completely dissatisfied and disgusted with the cut and how I was treated. I ended up going to another salon and finally got (although a much shorter version) the haircut I wanted. Thank goodness hair grows. It will be months before my hair is the length that I want but at least I found a stylist who knows what she is doing, does what I want and actually cares about doing a good job.

I recently moved to Shakopee and tried this salon for the first time yesterday. I don't usually like to spend this much on a kid's haircut but we decided a faux hawk would be fun so I splurged for my son thinking it would be smart to have a nicer salon do a cut like this with more detail than a basic cut. Our appointment was for 945, and after waiting 25 minutes with my 3 year old and 1 year old sons we finally got called back. I was waiting to hear an apology from anyone for this wait, but not one person said a word. The girl that cut my son's hair was so sweet, though near impossible to hear. I told her the cut I wanted and before I knew it she had buzzed off a chunk of my son's hair, so short that I stopped her to clarify that I wanted a Faux hawk and not a Mohawk. She informed me that she was going for a "neater" version of the haircut. I was glad to hear she had made that decision on her own... $18 later my son basically got a buzz cut and I was explaining to the front desk what had happened. I said I understand things happen and I don't mind waiting, but I expect Someone to say sorry and offer an explanation. The girl's response was that she was only a stylist and that a previous customer had been very late. Again I said that's fine I just expect someone to acknowledge it. There were 3 girls standing at the front desk chatting the whole time we waited but apparently the manager was out that day and not a single other employee has been trained in customer service. We were not offered water or coffee or their lovely looking tea by anyone either. I was offered a hair oil sample as an...apology I guess? The best part of all of this is I talked to a friend that night and she had just been here for highlights which had been totally botched. She had to come back in to have them fixed and was still so unhappy with them that she is planning on using a box color just to try to cover them up. I was really hoping yo find a convenient salon to come to for years, but not even its location across the street from me could bring me back in again. Longest review ever sorry.

My first experience here was due to a hair emergency--I accidentally dyed my hair almost black and needed it fixed. Colby helped me out by highlighting my hair back to a more normal color. I was nervous at first, but she really did a great job. She even stayed after the salon closed (along with another coworker) to finish up. I'll definitely be back.
