Serenity Hair Studio in Hillside, NJ

I visited Tahneea for the first time about a week ago. She is friendly,and welcoming. However, she CAN NOT do natural hair. I asked for a rodset/finger coils.It came out horrible, it looked messy and was sticking up all over the place. My natural hair has never looked like that when a professional styled it. I payed 155 for nothing pretty much. I was very unhappy and had to go to my regular stylist . I was referred by my sister who let her know I was unhappy with the hair. She never texted back or tried to fix the issue. ISSA NO FOR ME!

I went there about a month ago to see a stylist Taheeda for the first time. Figured I would try her out. She was nice courteous friendly, but I've never been really satisfied with how she does my hair. I had my damaged brittle hair cut off styled permed conditioned paid alot of money for it. Over $200 and it still came out looking dull and dead(unhealthy) . My perm wasn't done well my hair was kinda hard from whatever she used. The perm didn't last long. The way she curled and styled it I really didn't like it. Even after she cut it short the first time, you can still see the damage and that shouldn't be. My hair still didn't look healthy. Also, I don't like the steamer they use very hot and uncomfortable burns my scalp. The place is nice clean cute.. Nice staff comfortable but they stylist I chose is not the best. I had one of the best NJ stylistS I know before, SHE IS kindra Wright Horn who currently the owner of short hair express in Georgia. She is a very good hair stylist and Hugie at Beauty Bar International Union, NJ. He is excellent! She use to do my hair when she was here in Jersey so, I know what my hair should look like. I have a had a few other great hairstylists as well who do a great job. I went to Taheeda 3 times hoping the next time would be better or different, but I know my hair could look better than what she does because I have had some real good stylists and decided to give the place a try and I'm honestly, not too happy especially for all that money. I won't be going back.

Raijona and her staff are warm and welcoming ! The salon is beautiful and well kept! I had a great and honest consultation with Raijona. My hair came out beautiful - the products used are top of the line! Looking forward to going back again.

Omgoodness it is such a pleasure coming to this salon. It's professional, personable and clean with a relaxing environment. Raijona's all around expertise with hair shows with the end results of her clients' hair. She is an old school scissors and comb hair technician which I very much appreciate. The hair products are high end and the support staff is awesome as well. Been a long time since I've even had a proper hair washing at a salon. I've been looking for a full service salon with the right atmosphere and finally I have arrived. Wishing her continued success!

Been coming to the salon for over a year & I love the atmosphere. The environment is clean and welcoming. Rajona is great with hair, uses awesome products and knows about hair care( which is very important) !
