Scissorhands Salon in New Port Richey, FL

I'm pretty picky. Im used to going to the big box shops for my cuts. I've been to a "salon" years ago my stylist was cool but it always had a snooty vibe to the place. I don't think the cut I like is anything crazy but I have a difficult time explaining what I'm looking for and I know exactly what I want to see in the mirror when it is finished. It's been hit or miss at those other places. Sometimes they knock it out of the park and sometimes not so much, even when it's the same stylist. On to Scissorhands..... 1st impressions: Cozy place. Welcoming staff. Clean. Very relaxed. The barber Joey did a great job on my first cut. It wasn't 100% but we had yet to develop a rapport. Cut #2 got it. After a few cuts we are close to getting it down to a science. Like I mentioned earlier staff is friendly. Joey seems like a good guy and others in the salon do not ignore you. I enjoy the welcoming environment because there is nothing worse than feeling like you are bothering the people who are there for you.

Well I searched around to try to find a good hair salon. I thought that I found one I went to this hair salon with a pretty traumatic experience in the past and let them know that what I've been through and I did not want to dye my hair again the experience with them was the same just my hair didn't break off they did a very poor job both times I was in there I had to go back and tell them that they had to fix it the first time they messed up my hair and I went back to get it fixed they charged me again I thought that was very inappropriate but I wanted my hair fixed so I paid it second time I went in I had to have another girl do my hair and she completely missed a whole spot on my head told me that it was never died when I have pictures of it actually dyed by them before LOL so I went back in they didn't charge me that time but when I went home was very unhappy with how it looks the colors in my hair we're just blocks together the blue was running into the pink and they put a dark purple next to a dark blue where it looks like it all Blended together and it was very horrible but I still paid for it and I told them next time I wanted my hair fixed properly and I would pay for it again not one time have I gone into this place my hair done right and not be charged for it and now they're starting to take a deposit before you can even come in I asked them out of consideration because all the things I've been through through your hair so I can I please make it one time where I could come in this time without a deposit because I was never told this before and they told me no now I found a place that actually does it half the price and does a really good job if you guys want the information hit me up at myangelcia@gmail.com

Went last weekend for partial highlights and a cut. I had to wait a few weeks before I could get in because I need an after work time or a weekend. Kylee was my stylist and she did a beautiful job! I have gotten so many compliments on my hair and it looks so much healthier now that the dead ends have been cut off. The salon is so cute inside and it was a very comfortable setting. They have wonderful and extremely comfy wash stations, I could have easily fallen asleep! I will definitely be back and even made the recommendation to my boyfriend's mom!

Just had my hair done by Ali and omg, she did such a fantastic job and I even showed up a bit earlier and still took me right in. I hadn't had my hair done in a long time and now that I feel so confident by the way she performed on my hair by highlights and a haircut not to mention how super friendly everyone is, they definitely have my business and I'm happy to have found this shop.

Yesterday I had a wonderful appointment and it was a great experience. I met a nice stylist name Ali! Ali suggested to me a new way to do my hair ! Finally someone who knows what there doing ! Thank you Ali for a great new cut and a great new look I Love it
