Sassy Nails in New Castle, DE

Sassy nails has great prices, friendly environment, and have a great variety of services and colors. Setting an appointment is the best way as you get to have a nice quiet relaxing salon. Lee and his wife are so nice and the attention to detail, humor, and beautiful nails make this place a hidden gem! I love my nails and cannot wait to go back

I wouldn't recommend this place. I ALWAYS get something simple. I don't ask for designs or anything. I like my nails short due to my job & I usually get a regular pedicure. These workers rush through everything. I don't expect to be there all day but if they're going to rush through their work, maybe they should lower the prices on the services being provided! Don't waste your money people.

Horrible service and the place is dirty. Most employees rush through their work and are rude !!! Do yourself a favor go someplace else I won't be back

The day after getting my mani at Sassy, my polish began flaking off in big flakes.  I was already hours out of town and not returning for days, going to a special family function.  I called Sassy and they only repeated over and over that they don't refund service already provided.  If I return they will fix it for free, they said.  No apology or surprise that this could happen.  

That doesn't help me at all because I have to remove the polish myself at my hotel tonight and will not have my nails done for my special family event.  This is pretty spectacularly lousy customer service.  My manicurist was Mai whom I liked.  However, I will never return to this horrible place.

I am usually not the type to provide reviews. I will preface this as well to say I will always pay for work whether I am unhappy or not but this one I contemplated walking out and never looking back.

I just couldn't let this go and it still bothers me every time I look down at my nails (A week has gone by). I went for an overlay removal, full set, and toe nail polish change. I started with my polish change, the color was perfect and the paint looked fine until it was time for the top coat. She slapped on a large amount & did not paint to the cuticles so you can literally see it running and that's exactly how it dried. She also must've used the top coat that the tech next to me just finished using because there were red smears through a few of my toes from that customers toe nail polish. Onto the nails, she removed the overlay however was very rough. Rough enough that she ripped off over half of my nail and caused me to bleed. Smirked and said sorry. I wanted to leave at that point but I didn't have time to go anywhere else and needed my nails done. So I asked for alcohol, she allowed it to stop bleeding and we continued. Long story short... my left hand nails are much longer than my right hand. She failed to fill all the way to my cuticle, used a lot of polish so you could again see that the paint was running. My nails are uneven, crooked and dried with bubbles, I can't even begin to describe how upset I was/still am. I will NEVER go back to this place again. Sad part is my sister and law went to the owner a few days prior and her nails are perfect. I went to the older lady that sits in the middle of the second row, she wore glasses.

I've been a long time customer of another shop but it is a bit of ways from me. I thought I would branch out but obviously I shouldn't have. I will stick to what I know going forward.
