I go to Samantha's for great work, no fuss. I don't go for a "spa" experience because that's not what I want. Live it for me.
I won't be back. I went in tonight for a gel pedi and mani. She barely scrubbed my feet. Literally, she scrubbed my feet for like 2 seconds. I am not exaggerating. Then, once she did my manicure, she did not moisturize afterwards because they overbooked. I've been to this salon about 3-4 times and each time it has gone down hill in quality. I tip every single time because I am a nice person, but I am done spending my hard earned money here. On TOP OF EVERYTHING, my nails aren't even. She barely lined them up.
Oh my goodness I love Samantha's. They do such a good job and are so much more affordable than other nail salons I've been to. I went recently to get my nails done before a trip (as you do) and had the best experience!! I got a gel manicure, and the woman who did my nails was so patient as I picked my color and then had her show me other colors because I am so indecisive. I really appreciated that she didn't mind showing me other colors and helped me pick one. She also did a fantastic job!! My gel nails lasted almost three weeks!!!!! Actually so impressive, well worth my money. I highly highly recommend this spot!! It is my go-to.
I came in on Monday afternoon to get a gel pedicure and a gel full set. The pedicure was fine, but the gel full set was perhaps the worst I've ever had. I was pretty disappointed with the shape, and the color had ridges and was not smooth. My pointer finger nail cracked on Friday (not even from doing anything other than dishes) and my pinky nail popped off completely. I ended up peeling off the other nails today while at home, so they were never really that well affixed to begin with. I also got a bad allergic reaction to the poly-gel that they used. Not sure if this is going to become more commonly seen at salons, but I'm not a fan. The poly gel seems to be a lot less durable. The nail technician I had was rather unfriendly as well, and seemed inconvenienced by any attempt I made to try and talk with her.
I've been going here for a couple years now and I can't say enough great things. I typically do dip powder but I've also gotten their gel mani and pedi. Everyone is so friendly and does amazing work. I always get compliments on my nails and I even have a few friends coming here regularly. 10/10 would recommend.
