I hate to write this review. I just left the place without my service. I had a booked a styling with Beto Diaz and since the first minute, I noticed a bad attitude coming from him. I finally sat and was ready to explain what I needed, when he started making fun of my haircut. He kept staying "wow, you have two haircuts in one" with a tone and attitude of "I can't believe you have such a bad haircut". I have had the same person do my hair for 20+ years in one of the most exclusive salons in Mexico. She is yearly trained in Europe and I LOVE my haircut. He kept saying that it was wrong. I kept saying that I loved it and that I could style it very well, that I was very happy with the haircut. He kept insisting that it wasn't right. I finally told him that I could sense an attitude from him and asked if it was going to be like that. He said something like you are free to go. And I said ok. I am leaving. I can't believe someone will talk to a client like that. Where is the cordiality, the niceness, the good manners? I don't know if he was having a bad day or what but poor guy..... I am sure he doesn't have a lot of friends. I ended going to another salon and I even got a 20% discount. Needless to say, I will never go back and will never recommend this place to anyone else. EDIT TO ADD: I called about 10 minutes later to talk to the manager. They put me through to the same guy - his name is Beto Diaz (I later learned that he is the owner of the salon) -- the rudest man in town. He pretends to care, listens to me, and I could recognize the voice. However, he lies to me and says that he is Julian. He continues to say that I don't have to say anything else, that from that point this rude guy, Beto, is not going to work there anymore. He argues that it is not the first time people have complained about him and that he will fired by the end of the day. I asked if he is serious about what he is saying. He says yes. I'm not sure about the whole thing, I say good-bye and hang out. I later find out in the website that Beto Diaz is the owner. So, who is this Julian? Beto can't be fired if he's the owner. I can't be sure of anything but it seems like Beto pretended to be someone else to... for what??? To please me? Like if that is going to persuade me to try their place again? NO way! I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I think this guy and his team were just trying to laugh at me. I don't know if this Beto Diaz is good at his work, he might be. I don't care. But his attitude and manners are far away from what I have always encountered in Austin since I moved here back in 2000. He doesn't belong in the service industry and he should be ashamed of the way he treated a client and another human being within the first 10 minutes of interaction. No surprise most of the recent good reviews are about other stylists and not Beto Diaz. EDIT TO ADD 7:30 PM: I just called the salon, asked for Julian, and guess what? There's no Julian working there. I asked for Beto, and the girl tells me that he is the owner and that he will be back tomorrow morning. I just can't believe it! Beto Diaz pretended to be a Julian, and lied to me. After making fun of my haircut, he lied to me. How unbelievable rude. Stay away from this place!!! After all this, the styling that I got in another blow dry bar was fabulous. My hair looks fantastic with beautiful soft waves. After a few years of being a loyal customer, this week I booked online, received an email requesting I confirm, which I did, and when I arrived (on time) for the appt I was told by the stylist (after he allowed me to put on a smock and sit in the shampoo chair) that he was running late and had another customer under the dryer w/ foil...blah blah blah and would I just come back later or reschedule. I was civil and left stating I would check my calendar and get back with them. Really? you make the customer confirm, (and I left work early for the appt) but somehow it's ok that the stylist has issues. Just another crappy customer service experience which unfortunately seems to be all too common in the salon business.

No one does it like Janell! She's been my hairdresser for at least 6 yrs which is just enough time to think everyone in this business is the same. Much to my dismay they are NOT, not even close! Tried someone else out thinking everyone is like Janell. I was sad to find they were SO FAR FROM WHAT I WAS USED TO! Janell gives the most stylish haircuts, has an amazing hair coloring ability that is certain to keep your hair smooth and shiny, out of this world hair washes! Never knew how important this was until you're in someone else chair and realize they just don't have it. Blow drying, now this is a game changer, thought anyone could flick their wrist and roll their round brush like Janell! Again, NOPE! She's definitely talented. She came to my rescue after a traumatic experience, my hair and I are on the road to recovery! Thanks Janell for always working your magic!

I definitely don't recommend this salon! I made an appointment a week in advance (at least) and when I showed up they told me my stylist was not there to do my hair. Apparently he was at some appointment elsewhere. I of course wasn't happy but understand things happen. Weeks later I decided to give the salon another chance and went in to have a "root touch up and a haircut. That is not what I received. I got a full weave and a VERY bad cut. The color wasn't terrible but not what I had asked for. My cut looked like a kid took scissors to my hair. I asked for 1/2 of my money back (after paying over $200 and never received a call back after this request. Very poor customer service!

Linda cut my hair and she's Amazing. She's cut my friend's hair in the past and besides HER having the coolest hair, she just always does the best job. My hair is super fine so I'm happy with just a nice cut, but apparently she outdid herself because I had a random guy at the Domain ( with great hair mind you), come up and compliment me on mine saying I have a great Stylist. I felt like J-Lo for a moment. Thank you Linda!!! Didn't shock me as you are awesome. Next stop- Bolyage with another amazing woman- Sarah.
