Salon MK in Alexandria, KY

I wouldn't recommend this salon for hair color. They'll over charge for something that washs out as soon as it gets wet. I've dyed my hair for years and never had this happen before. Although, if you're going to get a trim and style this is the place for you. The overall store and cleanliness is top teir. Bathrooms are spectacular. Just not hair color.. Definitely not worth the $300 I spent, literally washed down the drain

I've been coming to Susan's since 2009. I've had a few stylists that I love and I have one now who is amazing. My hair is always done well and rarely have I left not happy and given the 12 years, that's saying a lot.

The nail tech Jenise Ashley is the best. I love the way she does my nails and I love chatting with her. She is a major asset there but (and this is part of why this is 4 instead of 5), I think she's very underutilized. It can be hard to book hair and nails on the same day. I am an oddball because I don't like doing this stuff so when I do it, I prefer one and done! :)

I am really glad the endless country music has stopped because it was really such noise pollution for me, I stopped coming in for awhile. I just can't listen to it for that long. I don't even know that the stylists liked it!

Another reason for 4 out of 5-the pricing is a touch higher than is reasonable. I can and do pay it because I really like my stylist and Jenise, but the pricing could be off-putting to others. I've seen coupons for new customers out. This always irks me as a long time customer--why not some kind of loyalty program? It doesn't have to be complicated at all. I like things simple.

Overall, the receptionist is friendly and will work to get you in even when you're forgetful like I tend to be sometimes. The stylists (mine is Shaney) and Jenise are wonderful. I have not used any of the others but my daughter has and had good results. I've gone to them for a long time and will keep going.

My moms scalp is burning she came home crying bc her head was burning so bad she has burns on her scalp sh said she normally loves it but after today she doesn't wanna come back

Wouldn't even give this place 1 star!!! Completely messed up my friends hair , didn't give what was asked. Did & charged what was asked not to be! WAY over priced for a shitty job done !!! DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Casey is WONDERFUL! She the first hair stylist I've ever gone to consistently. She does exactly what you want and does it in a timely manner. I get complements on my hair all the time. If you go to Susan's then go to Casey.
