My review for Salon Lela would be zero. I can't for the life of me think why any business owner would post that her SALON staff was uncomfortable about a client being there, and then call people retarded. Talk about violating business ADA rules. These comments were very offensive and maybe the situation should have been handled differently. First of all, had she tried to leave without paying it becomes a scam. Seeing the pictures, I would have never paid anything until the color was fixed. As a business owner and a professional you yourself knew it wasn't right. I would of said, " I will fix this for free.''
Who wants an unhappy client? You need to go back and read your messages. You said to blame GOD? Are you kidding me? Usually when I go to a new salon they ask the appropriate questions to get to know the history of someones hair to make sure the client has a successful appointment and that the client leaves with the look they are trying to achieve. Clients are NOT the professionals thus the reason they come to you for help. I do know that sometimes a color doesn't come out like planned. You even stated that it didn't look right. This color flop should have been fixed before she left
Last but not least, As a professional you know that the customer is always right. She came in as a new customer for a new look. This was not achieved. Instead of blaming God and Redken products and other professionals, calling people retarded and telling a client that she made your stylists and salon uncomfortable, you should have swallowed your pride and made it right. You can't put a dollar amount of the integrity of your Salon!

If only I could rate this experience a 0. Elise is the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with in my entire life. I had posted in a Facebook group looking for someone who could color my hair blonde. I chose Elise. As soon as I walked in, she told me to take a seat. Didn't even introduce herself and continued to gossip to her coworker for 5 mins before coming over to me. The salon was dirty and falling apart. Very unorganized. Stains all over the wall. Elise noticed that a stylist had shadow rooted my hair and said "that's when you know your stylist is good, when she noticed what had been done previously". Instead of putting a cape around me, she threw it at me and said "here put this on". She then continued to put bleach all over my head. Pulling at my hair. Having to hold back tears. Then when placing me under the dryer at one point, she forgot to turn it on. Didn't care to talk to me at all. Didn't even ask what I was exactly looking for until after she put bleach all over my head. Half way through she noticed a ring and told me that she would put highlights through it to try to get rid of the ring. Afterwards, then telling me that I would have to come back for another session. Then charged me over the agreed amount. Which I gave her and tipped because of her time. Leaving the salon I had a feeling it wasn't right. Upon arriving home, I realized how awful it really was. I now have pink toned hair and a rose gold ring going all the way around my head. I now have to wear my hair up as an attempt to cover it up. When messaging Elise how I was upset, she turned around and blame ME. Saying it was my fault and my previous stylist because my hair was bad. She continued to be rude and when I asked for a PARTIAL refund, she refused. Then turning it around saying I was just asking for a free service and how I'm "scamming her". Showed pictures to friends and they all agree with how awful it looks. I told her this and in return called them "retarded". Elise not only ruined my hair but blamed everyone but herself, claimed I was scamming her, called my friends a rude term and refuses to give me any type of refund.
Elise is such a "professional".
*After posting this review I found out that she was telling people that she "knew I didn't have money" the moment she saw me come in. Even though I over paid her in the end. So if you want to be instantly judged when you walk through the door, Elise will do that for you too.
Love this place! Elise is a hair master! Due to thyroid and hormonal issues for years, I have lost a lot of hair and was devastated. I called salon lela and spoke to Elise about a consultation, even on the phone she made me feel like i wasn't a total loss and she could help. I have to say that she and her crew at the salon are amazing women! Every step of the way i was taken care of. I ended up getting extensions and literally cried in her chair when she was done. She is a hair artist!
Jess her assistant was so sweet and made me feel at home. I also got lash extensions from Christina and she has such a natural talent for beauty and can do wonders for you lashes ladies! At the end i felt beautiful and myself again, and it's been awhile. I have found my place and finding a good hair stylist and salon is a diamond in the ruff.
Wow! Hands down the best hair cut I've ever had! I was getting frustrated with everywhere I've gone before and also didn't really know what style I wanted. Elise asked me what I wanted done and I said I had no clue and would trust her judgement. Best money I've ever spent and I feel like a different person. She definitely has my business from now on without question!
I am so happy to give Salon Lela a 5 star review! I came in with a hot mess of a hair cut done somewhere else. They got me in quick with an appointment. I am so happy with my new hair cut! I have very thick hair and it's super straight and it's very hard to find someone who can cut it because you can see every mistake. My hair also parts to the side, and I cannot tell you how many times I have left with a mess because they wanted to part my hair down the middle. Hands down my best experience with a hair cut. I left feeling so happy!!! Thank you!! I will be making this my final home for hair cuts!!
