NOT friendly or welcoming. Tried to make an appointment and was told nothing was available with requested stylist before I asked for any availability dates!!!

Blair was so helpful in helping me pick out the correct Aveda hair product for my hair. I love the decor of the salon and hope to be back soon for my hair. The smooth line is my favorite.

On a whim, I decided to try this salon.  Wish I didn't. This is an Aveda salon.  If this had been my first salon with these products, I would never use Aveda again but it's not really all about Aveda, it's about the  crummy dye job I got. My blonde hair, that I prefer blonde, is now brown.  Brown!  And it's not even a pretty brown-it's ashy and mousy.  The stylist was nice enough but she mixed color and applied it like she just didn't care at all or like she was so proficient that she didn't have to bother with taking her time-she just whipped up the ingredients and applied them so fast with HUGE gaps between partings-I NEVER had someone leave such huge gaps between partings-I don't even part it that far apart myself when I do my own hair.  She combed through my hair in a rough way while the color was on. I've never had someone do that before. Even worse is the pain I have in the back of my head right now.  Last night while watching TV, I realized that the back of my head was killing me and it was so strange how much it hurt and that it came out of the blue, I became pretty worried. So painful that I was afraid I had something serious going on. I was thinking about going to the ER because I thought I might have a stroke or something-I couldn't figure out why my head was hurting so much.Then it hit me. I remembered how extremely painful the shampoo was-not the actual shampoo, the sink.  I never had my head washed in a more painful sink.  The girl who washed my hair did not massage it, or even attempt to wash it nicely-the way they do nowadays when you go to a salon-she seemed so inexperienced and kept talking to me and would not shut up. She was nice but enough is enough.  I don't want to discuss my entire life story when I go to a salon.  The back of my head is still really hurting me more than 24 hours later. I don't remember what their sinks were like-I can't remember if they had a cutout where the neck goes- it's something I never notice but I do remember thinking how painful it was and I wish she'd hurry up because the sink edge was really hurting me.  I put up with a lot  of pain issues on a daily basis-I'm quite used to it, so for me to have this much pain from a sink-it's a big deal. Then there is my hair color. Unfortunately I never have the nerve to speak up.  I saw that my hair was dark in the salon but did I say anything?  No-I thought it wasn't that bad but that is because they have salon lights.  When I got home and passed a mirror I almost died.  It was so shocking to see how dark my hair was! But even then, I thought I'd give them one more chance.  I'd go back one more time and see if they could get it right.  That was before this pain in my head went on and on. I could not go back. Then I washed it.  Yikes.  It feels like crap.  I don't know what they did.  I don't know when I've ever had an experience like this before.  My hair is ruined.  It feels terrible.  Really terrible.  Normally when I have my hair done, it feels great-so soft and nice for a while every time I wash it.  I thought it was the Aveda haircolor that made it feel that way.  I was wrong.  I don't know what it is, but my hair feels crummy.  I don't know how this place has such good reviews.  The decor is crummy-like salons in the 60's- but I could get over that if they did a good job.  I frankly don't know how they stay  open.  I have to assume either people here have low standards or my experience was a fluke but I promise you, if you go there and have your hair shampooed by the girl who did mine (she was in training when I went-hopefully she improved by now), I don't know her name, you will be miserable.  I feel like I was hit in the head  with a hammer.  Worst salon I've visited in Georgia and I've lived here for over 12 years.
