I usually go to Korean hair salons in Toronto, but wanted to explore and see if there were any Asian hair salons in Buffalo. Unfortunately, there are no Asian hair salons in the Buffalo area, BUT when I typed in "Asian hair" in Yelp, this place was on the top of the list! I saw a couple reviews by Asian customers who've been here too and thought I'd try it out. This place only takes appointments, so I called in on a Thursday to make an appointment with Chelsea, and they booked me for the following Wednesday. (They rarely take walk-ins, so plan accordingly.) Upon my arrival, Chelsea greeted me and took me to the "Color Room". If you're coloring your hair, they'll do it in the Color Room, where they have better access to all the color tubes. After I had my roots colored, I was taken to the shampoo area where Chelsea washed my hair. I think it took about an hour+ to get my roots colored. For the hair cut + thinning out + styling part of my visit, I was taken to the "main" salon area, where there were more chairs. It took about 20-30 minutes for this part of my visit. Chelsea did an AMAAAAZZZZING job. I was so satisfied with the results! If you're looking for a place to get your hair done, I would highly recommend this place; especially Chelsea! She's such a sweet person and great artist with hair! :)
I'm so happy that I've found the best salon here in Buffalo! First let me just start off- I have Asian hair. Not many hairstylists here knows how to deal with Asian hair, especially where it comes to coloring. I went to do a consulting first with Chelsea and after hearing her explain the steps that it will take to achieve what I want: ashy blonde from really dark brown hair with drug store hair dye (brasiness). I decided to put all of my faith and trust in her. You have to trust your stylist when it comes to drastic changes. The result- see the photo. I was blown away. I love it! BEFORE & AFTER
I love Danielle at Salon Bernardo ! She's spot on with color and has is very talented with the scissors. All of her attention is focused on you during your visit. She is friendly, outgoing and always willing to please . I am very picky about my hair; I totally trust Danielle!
My stylist is Danielle. This girl knows her stuff! I used to be in the business so, l know what a good haircut should look like. I have been to her several times. The very first time sealed the deal. Danielle is a great listener! She actually looked at the pictures l brought and took her time discussing what l wanted. I have short hair but this was no 15 minute haircut. A full hour of precision cutting and styling. Danielle is easy-going and makes me feel welcome every time. There are a lot of people out there cutting hair, but if you want a hairstylist w real talent, book now w Danielle. Won't be going anywhere else anytime soon.
