Salon Amissa in Rochester, NY

unfortunately I had one of the worst experiences in my life I've never met anyone that acts like a professional and doesn't do a professional job.no one will fix the horrible haircut that was given to me and they refused to give a refund.

My first visit was great, I am new to area and researched a couple of places and loved the owners story. I went in for haircut (more like trim). After asked if I could make appt for color. Fast forward to that appt. I confirmed with salon I would be at appt. stylist requested cash for tip so had to stop at bank to get cash and was exactly 11 mins late (for 2 hour appt). Was told that stylist had left and I would need to reschedule my appt. I will never go back OR recommend. Good luck paying your rent on your fancy place of business.

I recently moved to Greece and was looking for a salon that would do a quick cut and style to help my big thick hair fight the humidity. I looked at a few different places and finally chose Amissa based on location and the hair products they use (I love Keune.) I called in and got an appointment with Liz. The salon is pretty and clean; all of the staff were smiley and polite. Liz was very personable and professional. She shampooed, cut and styled my hair just the way I asked. I was concerned about the cut at first because some other stylists I've seen have been too afraid to cut out the "bulk" in my hair and I leave with only the length shortened. Liz totally understood my needs and my hair is no longer a big puffy mess. The best part? For a shampoo, cut and style they only charged me $35! Any salon in the city is $50+ In conclusion, this place is nice, Liz is great, and I'll definitely be back. I did go back and this time my experience was drastically different. I was 2 minutes late and apologized but then sat in the waiting room for another 10 minutes. When Liz cut my hair she seemed rushed and did not do anything like the first time I saw her, even though I asked for the exact same thing. When I glanced at the waiting room and saw a girl staring me down I realized she was waiting for Liz, which explains the rush job. I still appreciated the trim but it wasn't what I asked for, and I won't be returning.

Liz did an amazing job cutting my hair! I was a little nervous because I was planning on cutting quite a bit off but I left feeling fantastic. I went on a Friday morning and it was very calm and quiet, great atmosphere. I will definitely be going back for my next cut.

My first time at this salon. Great place, nice staff. The receptionist is super nice and friendly and the stylist Liz was professional and cut my hair the way I like. I would certainly go back again.
