Belinda did miracle work to my hair. My hair has literally never looked so good. I got a cut and a blowout. I have naturally wavy/curly hair and she took great care of me. The overall vibe passes the test all around. staff is all super friendly, making jokes and having a great time together. The wash felt amazing. The price was also great. Looking forward to going back.

I only learned of this place because my stylist just relocated to this Salon. Walking in for the first time I greeted by a friendly Stylist who could be the owner but I never ask, so who knows. First thing I notice was how clean, inviting and welcoming the salon was. Everyone was happy, friendly and the décor was cute. Lets not forget the music playing in back and an area where you can get water or make coffee. Most of the time my 6 year old daughter is always with me and they also welcome her even when she is not getting any services done. My Stylist name is Belinda and she is just magically and gifted with her hands, she can bring dead hair back to life. Let me stop there and let you know my hair texture, 4c natural without a perm and with that being said. I'm African American and have textured hair. I say that because when looking for a salon in this area I notice that majority of them did not specialized in Textured hair. So being that I finally found one that does I must tell the whole Yelp Community so your search can be easier then mine. So back to Belinda she specializes in all hair types. she is awesome at what she does. She even does my 6 year old daughter hair. I will not write in detail what she specialized in because when I say she does everything she literally does everything. she has brought my hair back to life and gave it character. Oh how could I forget her assistant Tiffany. Having Tiffany wash your hair is literally like going to get a head massage, need I say more. Her washes are so therapeutic and feels like life. She has a gentle hand and she will take good care of you. I believe the shop is closed on Mondays, and I know Belinda is off on Saturdays. It always easy to get an appointment, the salon is very accommodating. Oh and if your wondering about COVID precautions. I promise you that they are following ALL the rules and guidelines of the Mayors Orders and CDC. I highly recommend this salon to anyone of any hair texture, you will not be disappointed.

I also like that it's less than 10 minutes away from the mall and several nail salons, making it the perfect location for a full day of glam. The salon itself is extremely well kept and comfortable. It is a bit on the small side, which could make it somewhat claustrophobic on a busy day so just keep that in mind when you're booking your appointment. The receptionist was extremely friendly when I booked my appointment and offered me tea and cookies upon arrival. Overall it was a nice, clean, space with pleasant people all around. ~The Stylist~ Pros My hair is in a committed relationship with Belinda and although it has had extramarital affairs with other stylists in the last ten years, it always comes back to its one true hair stylist, Queen B. I have followed this woman from salon to salon because she is that good. Being Black, before finding Belinda I did the traditional "beauty shop" for years and I've found that when it comes to hair, you really do get what you pay for. Belinda isn't the only stylist I've gone to that does good hair, but she's one of the only stylists in New York that does good hair and doesn't have me sitting in her chair all day. She doesn't double book, she doesn't use cheap products, and she doesn't sugar coat what your hair needs or does not need. Anyone who has ethnic hair or just thick curly hair knows that one wrong chemical treatment can cause it all to end up on the floor. Belinda is the only one I'll trust with chemicals on my hair. Regarding the range of what she can do, I myself am a chameleon and change my hair quite often. In the last ten years she has done buzz cuts, faux Mohawks, partial sew ins, full sew ins, platinum blonde, neon green, ombre, cornrows, and so much more because I get bored very quickly. She truly does it all and has done it all on my head. Cons Belinda doesn't make mistakes often but when she does make one she seems unable to take accountability. Specifically, I ordered hair clip ins from her for my graduation pictures. I came to the salon to get my hair relaxed and pick them up on Tuesday, where they were the wrong color and longer than what I asked for (via text and which she had acknowledged). I asked if she could dye them and I'd pick them up sometime between Tuesday and Saturday (the day if the graduation event) she said she wouldn't have time and refused to apology for the mishap. She did ultimately refund me for the clip ins, so I wasn't out money. But I do think an apology and more effort to remedy the situation was warranted.

I never write reviews but had to leave one for this salon. I haven't had my hair done since before being quarantined and after finding myself with an unexpected free day, I called around a few salons in the area (when my usual place told me they were fully booked). I spoke to Melissa on the phone, who told me to come right down. Later upon arriving, I overheard her say that this was her last appointment, which means that she easily could have told me no on the phone and leave for the day, but instead chose to have me come in. Melissa has to be the sweetest person you will ever have doing your hair, and even though I only got a trim, she took her time and made it perfect. I have very long hair and it's far from healthy...normally salons rush me and leave me with a sloppy, frizzy blow out. I never leave the salon fully happy with my results, but I'm glad to say I've found a place where I can! I was very impressed with the whole experience and I will definitely be back for my next cut and color.

I've been coming to Salon 25 since the beginning and I've gotten Magic Sleek done on my hair twice already and I love it!
