Went here 1 time for a haircut and it was okay. Went back for a second time, and OMG. I ended up getting scalped. I literally walked out with about 1/2" of hair left on the back of my head when I had asked for a completely different hairstyle. It was so bad I had to go to the Wig Shop on Hurstbourne Ln the next day and buy a Hair topper to cover the monstrosity until my hair grows out enough. It's now been a month and I can just now get a 1/2' curling iron in the back to get some body into the back of my hair. It has totally ruined my color and the texture of my hair. I have been traumatized from this experience.
Before visiting salon2020, I had never been to the same hairdresser more than once. I've been coming to Salon2020 regularly since the beginning of this year. My stylist is Faith and she always does a wonderful job, often knowing what I want even more than I know what I want, and she always communicates and collaborates really well with me, getting to know my personal style and tastes. I get cut + colour + curl, usually all in the same sitting. I like to do fun trends with my hair like the halo dye, fun colours etc. and she did a wolf cut on me which looked amazing. Since I've started coming here, almost everywhere I go I get raving compliments on my hair. Seriously, I've had friends and even strangers start *freaking out* over how cool they think my hair looks, and I get stopped and complimented on my hair frequently out in public. The environment here is also incredibly warm and welcoming; each of the staff have always been nice to me when I've come in. The pricing is SUPER reasonable and I'd even say they're undercharging for the quality of service that you get. I'd easily be willing to pay double for how much time, effort, and talent goes into achieving the looks I walk out with. 10/10 I recommend this place if you want super cool hair and a salon with good energy.
If I could give zero stars I would . I had an appointment at 9 am I drive there and they tell me they tried calling me !!! I looked as my phone they called at 8:52 !!! Really !!! I was driving there . Apparently the hairdresser couldn't find her keys !!! Are you kidding me . I had never been here however when I walked in it looks like a Fantastic Sams I am used to high end salons . All the great reviews on here I don't see how .... BEWARE!!! I would never go here this was probably a blessing the girl couldn't "find her keys " waste of gas and time . The girl actually said to me "We were trying to help you out ". I said What ??? She said by calling you . OMG tone deaf my appointment was at 9 they called at 8:52 does she think I live next door .
I was a bit nervous coming here. I had a bad experience about 10 years ago with getting my hair cut from a completely difference buisness. After doing tons of research, I settled on this place after reading the reviews. From the time I walked in to the time I walked out, I never felt like I shouldn't have been there. Everyone was so kind and never passed judgement. Hunter was absolutely amazing. She is so sweet and very helpful on ideas and opinions. I will always come back to this place and visit hunter :) here is some before and after! Major change but I couldn't be more happy!
I don't post a whole lot of reviews but I just thought I would share my awesome experience at this salon today. This was my first time here and Jackie did a phenomenal job on my "messy, way too many colors going on" hair! We discussed what I hoped to achieve and she pretty much immediately saw that cooler colors would look best with my skin tone - she was right. She gave me really nice low light colors with these really gorgeous kind of icy blond highlights. TBH, I was nervous about it but it turned out great and I am thrilled with it!! It looks so much better! The salon overall has a fun, casual vibe and Jackie is fun, down to earth and very personable! Really happy with my experience here! :)
