What a positive initial experience! Scheduling was easy, the ladies were so friendly, and I really did enjoy my time in the salon.

This review though, is to warn you a bit.

I've never had microbraids in my hair. Today, I decided to get some twists. I arrived at 8:30 am and left at 6 pm. I was completely fine with spending my day here. I planned for it with lots of snacks, and didn't mind the wait at all.

I left the salon in so much pain (due to how tight the braids were), but truly felt beautiful on the outside. The braids were BEAUTIFUL!! She did such a great job! When I got home though, I couldn't sleep that night, in fact, I could barely move my head during the day. I was taking aspirin like crazy, it was the absolute worst! I figured since it was my first time, all of this was normal. I knew I needed to fight through it! The next day, my scalp began itching and burning. I continued to take aspirin, and went out and spent almost $100 on scalp oils, medical shampoos for the scalp, researched EVERYTHING online for relief, I tried anything and everything I could think of!! Nothing worked.

On day 4, the pain, itching and burning was soooo bad; I had to take the braids out! $220 + my own products purchased to relieve the pain/ itch, down the drain!! I am truly devastated. I desperately wanted this to work, and I tried everything, but even my ears were burning, what the heck!?!

Needless to say, I lost a lot of money and time due to these braids. I know other women don't experience this, or they'd never continue doing it. Please do your research before getting braids.

These people are unprofessional, late to appointments, will start speaking a non-english language, which makes me feel like you're saying/plotting something that you feel I won't understand and will pull out your edges, intentionally. Beware. Plus, your braids/twists will fall out days later. What a waste of time and money...and R.I.P to edges, smh. Too bad there's no option for negative stars.

This company is terrible with follow-through!  This is the second time that I made an appointment and no one was there to receive me.  The first time I waited 30-minuets to no avail.  Today, I arrived 5-minutes early and the doors were locked and the lights were off.  This time, I confirmed two times and they still weren't there...a waste of me taking off early!!

This review is only to bring awareness.  I got my hair braided in small box braids on 2/10/16.  The experience was horrible!, I am apparently allergic to the hair that was used.  The day after receiving the beautiful braids, my head hurt so bad.  The next day my head/scalp began itching and burning.  I took benadryl and Tylenol in an attempt to relief the painful discomfort. But it did not help.  I researched the web and found that apple cider vinegar & water mixture may help but it did not!!!  On day 4, the pain, itching and burning was soooo bad; I had to take the braids out immediately!  So I know it was the hair because the pain, itching and burning stopped once the braids were out!  Needless to say, I lost a lot of money due to this hair.  I usually keep my hair braided but the lady I usually go to was not available.  I'm not allergic to the hair my regular stylist uses. The ladies at the SS was very nice and friendly but I will stick to what I know from now own.  Just make sure you are not allergic to the hair!!  It can be very PAINFUL and COSTLY!!!

I get my hair braided from these ladies all the time and not only are they really nice but they do great work. I have had box braids, senegalese twist,  marley braids, and corn rolls done and they do a great job. I have also referred several people to the business and they were really pleased as well.
