I'm sorry to those bad reviews that it didn't work out for you. Good news below! V
I have very very thick hair so it's a bit difficult for others to work with so I was hesitant going to Supercuts. Previous salons have done awful jobs so I usually cut my own hair.
Lori, my stylist today did an excellent job! I love how she did my layers. Great job to you, thank you very much. I will be returning. (:
Kim P, yeah you find it funny because you did it! Tacky honey! Very bad haircut all around.
Horrible experience with Chris. Since I have very long, unrelaxed hair, I drove to the salon to show her my hair, and explain what I was looking for (grey coverage, deep conditioner, cut, flat iron). She told me she could work with it and put me on the schedule a few days after. Bad sign #1: The day of the service, one of the other stylists, looked at me while Chris was applying color and said 'are you sure that's the right color'? And then laughed. I asked Chris what the stylist was talking about, and said in front of both of them that I didn't find that funny at all. Bad sign #2: As Chris worked with my hair, she got quiet and didn't do the usual small talk that professionals do while a new customer is in the chair. However, she chatted it up with other clients and walk-ins. I tried to chit-chat with her, but it was obvious something was off about her attitude. Bad sign #3: She did not have the right tools to properly blow dry my hair straight enough to cut. I tried to be polite and tell her that normally sylists use X or Y when blowing me out. She said ok, but that was about it - she used her fingers and a the wrong kind of brush. Bad sign #4: She did not apply enough product during blow drying or flat ironing. My kind of hair needs to be protected from the heat, especially after color. I questioned this and said that it really looked dry. I asked if there was a smoothing product or heat protectant that I could by and have her apply. She walked over to the shelf and said that the particular line line I asked about didn't have it. Not true - I saw something that might work on the shelf. She was above her head and didn't know what to use. Bad sign#5 She wanted to CUT MY HAIR when it was clearly not straight enough to get an even cut. I questioned this and she got frustrated and rude. At that point I stopped the service and told her I'd pay for what she did to that point. *Here was the proverbial nail for me:* she tried to swindle me at the register by including an additional cost that was not part of the service. I questioned this and she tried to pretend that it was me who was mistaken - fortunately, I know the gaslight tactic, so I kept asking her to explain the charge. By that time, everyone was watching. Since she couldn't explain it, she took if off, and I paid only for the original amount of the service. In all my years of getting my hair done, *Chris tops the list as one of the most petty, unscrupulous individuals I've encountered.* She had every opportunity when she first saw my hair to say, 'sorry, I don't have the tools/products/etc. to do your hair.' Rather than do the right thing, she went for the quick buck. I strongly advise people reading this to think twice about going to this low-rent establishment, and particularly allowing Chris to provide your service. The old saying is true - you get what you pay for.
This place is the worst place to have a hair cut, they are unprofessional, inexperienced and they don't know what they are doing. I don't recommend it to anyone.
I have been going here for years to see Erica she was amazing. I never had an issue when she was there. I went this weekend to get a cut an color and was told that they couldn't color my hair the way I wanted it because the new boss will not let them. I will not be back.
There's no denying that balayage is having a moment. This modern hair coloring technique has taken the beauty world by storm, and it's easy to see why. Balayage is a French word meaning "to sweep" or "to paint", and that's exactly what the colorist does.
