S&A Towing And Recovery in Christiansburg, VA

This is the absolute worst towing service. Their ethics are nonexistent and their practice is unorganized. Do not do business with this company. They towed me from my own apartment complex. I called them and they were absolutely rude and inconsiderate, and essentially scammed me. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.

Terrible illegitimate business. Towed my car from the McDonalds lot while I was inside eating and refused to hear me out when I informed them of this. If you ever need towing in Blacksburg, call campus automotive. They aren't the greatest business either but 1000 times better than this place.

I don't understand the terrible reviews... My car broke down in the MIDDLE of 81 South yesterday, my transmission completely went out. I called these guys and they were there so unbelievably quick (10 minutes, state trooper wasn't even there yet). I paid him at the end and i left. I accidentally gave him too much money and he called me asking if he could meet me somewhere to return the money. So professional and very very caring. HIGHLY recommend them!

Simply put, I had one question: do you guys tow over the summer. Not looking for anything other than a "yes" or a "no". What I received as a reply was uncalled for and unprofessional. I called the number that was listed on google and the phone answered after about three rings. A gentleman answered the phone and I proceeded to ask my question. I told him that I had taken my permit off since I was back at NoVa for the summer. I was just coming down for the 4th of July weekend and wanted to be sure I had a place to park. He seemed taken aback by the fact that I took my permit off and proceeded to lecture me. He stated that, "so you decided to tear your permit off not taking into consideration that you might be visiting for the weekend? I don't want to tell you something that's incorrect. I can't write down your number and expect me to know what I've said to you and to others" he went on and on about me taking my permit off. First of all, it was a simple yes or no question. I knew I didn't need to explain myself, but I did anyway. At the end of the conversation, he said that they tow 24/7 and that if your car does not have a permit, it will be towed. Simple answer that could've been said from the beginning. Customer service was incredibly unprofessional and I am extremely displeased with his answer. They need training in customer service because this was ridiculous.

These are contract wreckers that prey on college kids. My daughter purchased her own car and rolled it off the dealership lot. They hooked her car in the night when her placard wasn't present. That was her fault and she went to their lot to pick up her car and pay the $150.00. Her new car was damaged in the front from the tow. When she and my wife tried to talk to them about it, they were verbally abusive to them. We are headed to court to recover the damages. Lucky for them I am deployed 7000 miles from home.
