Royal Nails in Jackson, TN

I walked in yesterday for a mani pedi, I didn't have to wait very long and the salon is nice. I asked for a regular polish French manicure. Pedicure was nice but the "cheese grater" for the heel left me with a cut on my heel that hurts when I walk, this can lead to infection and it's really important that technicians know how to use the tools that they're using on customers. That was my first red flag. The salon also didn't have any true regular polish, only gel polish, which looks really thick and bubbly on the nails when it's not cured. He did his best and re-did many of the nails without me needing to ask, I asked about one nail and he just filed it a little but didn't fix what I had pointed out so I didn't ask again. He also drilled my old gel polish off, no soaking, not just buffing the tip but drilled it all off, burning my cuticles and nail beds but continued even after me flinching and saying "ouch". It seemed like he wasn't very experienced at all. My nails look really sloppy, I really wish he had been honest about how well the french would turn out or had at least offered to take the 5 dollars extra off for the French tips considering both he and I knew they didn't turn out the best. I should have asked to speak to the manager but with how busy and hectic it was in the salon I didn't feel comfortable at all. Unfortunately I won't be coming back to this salon unless they can work on the quality of their services.

It was a very clean place, it looked really nice. I had a scheduled appointment for 4:30 and didn't get seen till almost 6. It was on a Friday so they were really busy. It then took 2 hours to do my nails which was supposed to be a simple natural French manicure but I think there was a miss communication. They tried to fix them. I went home and did a few SIMPLE chores and they were already chipping. I know I could probably go back and get them fixed but honestly it was so stressful getting them done that even the thought of going back and fixing them stresses me out even more.

A male worker clipped my toe and made it bleed without an apology. This happened while he continuously laughed and talkEd with a coworker who was serving my friend. He kept looking over at my friend's feet and talking. I requested a $50 pedicure for 50+ minute. He finished in less than 30 minutes. During checkout I inquired about the charges, he walked away and left  standing without a comment. Another guy asked what is the problem? I proceeded to inform him. He walked away.

I've enjoyed each and every experience here at Royal Nails. My pedicures are fantastic as always and I enjoy Chloe's company and professionalism.
