Regal Nails, Salon & Spa in Crestview, FL

I have been a regular for Pedicures at this salon for over 7 years. I am saddened to see only unhappy customer reviews listed here. I want to make sure that my review is perceived as a very positive review because I usually make an appointment and am thankful that Julie is very efficient at keeping my ingrown nails at bay. All of the staff have always been friendly and pleasant to work with and my Pedicures always look lovely. I get many compliments on how they look. The staff like to joke around with one another and are always smiling. I prefer that to some of the other salons in Crestview whose staff are very unfriendly and do not appear that they like their workplace. I hope to see more of the repeat happy customers who I see on a regular basis at this salon provide a positive review. I plan to continue doing business there as long as they are open.

I am a regular customer for pedicures. The work: They normally do a great job. One of them likes ensure I'm not getting ingrown toenails, however, I have told her not to do surgery on my toes. I do like to have a topcoat on my toes, and often they do not put on a topcoat, since the pedicure polish lasts longer than manicure polishing. However, my pedicures still need a topcoat. Health concerns: they are good regarding disinfection, however, employees need refreshers regarding health concerns--why tools are disinfected, how to do it correctly, how to identify health issues in nails. Cleanliness: The whole place needs to be dusted, wiped down, and sanitized. The Polish: Good selection of colors, but the polish is old and doesn't go on that well or last well. Often employees have to thin the polish due to age. This means the polish does not last that long. Atmosphere: Managers and employees sometimes disrespect other employees, talking in Vietnamese. I don't understand Vietnamese, but I know when a person is being dissed. Regardless of business, or whether or not your clientele can understand your language, you should not talk about other workers or subordinates in front of your customers.

You guys wouldn't believe the outcome of this experience. I am still shaking and in complete shock at the lady and her customer service. Her name was Cindy. I paid $40 for gel and she used a regular opi nail polish. She did not even push back my cuticles, use a uv light or anthing that it would normally include. Me being shy/excited to even have them done didnt think to say anything. So I walk in to get my nails fixed after realizing I didnt get the service I paid for. I explained to her what was wrong with the nails and she asked me to go get the nail color and have a seat so that she could take care of her regular first. Totally okay at this point. I find the nail color and also grab a gel polish to ask her the difference and to make sure I got what I paid for. When I sat down, I asked and she said no I asked you last night and it is $40 for gel nail + $20 more for the gel polish. I called her bull****. She started removing my polish then said one moment i need to polish the ladies nails that was sitting next to me. No problem. The next thing I know she says, "I cant believe that. Last night she was happy, Last night she loved it." And I had to stop her right there. As she pulls out the freaking "UV LIGHT" for the lady next to me. I said, also ma'am you didnt use that on me last night either now that I think of it. She told me I didnt need it for "regular polish." I'm appalled at this point. She finished with the lady and comes back and starts clipping off my nails off immediately while saying she's giving me a refund and "its their policy to clip them off before giving a refund". I told her there was no way i was leaving her store like that and i would pay to soak them off because this is just ridiculous. She did of course but continued to be defensive. At this point I'm shaking uncontrollably and fighting back tears because the lady next to me had to nerve to chime in. "Look at my nails, see she does a great job." I said, yes ma'am it does look great but she did a shit job and this is absolutely unacceptable that she would sit there and take about me to another customer. I shared with my friends and they all said this unacceptable. I showed my mother and she too was completely appalled. She did a shit job and she did NOT give me the service I paid for." Thank god Aaron walked up when he did because I had finally broke. She originally said she would only refund the $40 but not the $15 tip i gave her. When he walked up she gave me the full amount back. She tried to hand Aaron the money while telling him I could go somewhere else.
