Randy is a MASTER of hair and color. He spent extra time on me and went through all my foils a second time when he realized my old box dye was not lifting from my hair. I told him my hair goal and he came up with something even better. I will go to him every time as long as I'm in the area!

Had an absolute great experience getting my haircut. I have difficult hair and randy did a wonderful job of shaping it and also styling it. Highly recommend!

So all is I am going to say is after moving to the area and leaving a stylist in Oregon who I loved and who ALWAYS got it right... I struggled to find that same here. The stylists, although craftsman in their skill, just weren't hearing me, the color was not what I wanted and the $$$ spent trying to achieve it!!! It would have been cheaper to fly back to Oregon....until I found Randy! He discussed with me in detail, we shared pictures and expectations, and the process to "correct" the color, on the first visit. On the second visit- HE NAILED IT! Both cut and color are exactly what I was looking for. I am so lucky to have found him and Highly Recommend!!!!... just as along as he always has a standing appointment for me!

Randy never disappoints! As someone who had the same hairdresser from early childhood to my mid twenties, I was skeptical of trying someone new (especially when the referral came from my boyfriend). However, I am SO thankful I came to Randy because my hair has never looked better. He is so technically skilled and regularly attends trainings to make sure his techniques are cutting edge. His balayage and coloring techniques are on point and sophisticated. As someone with thick curly hair, I also know how hard it is to find someone who works well with curls, which Randy certainly does. He is patient and takes the time to listen to exactly what you want. He is also friendly, easy to talk to, and puts clients at ease, which is something I really appreciate. Overall, when you find someone who can master everything from a basic men's cut to a complicated curly-headed brunette to blond balayage, you know you have a keeper! If you're in the DMV area check him out, you won't regret it.

Randy is simply the best! I started seeing him about four months ago having never colored my hair before, and what he's accomplished is better than I could've dreamed. Before any dye touched my hair, we had a thorough conversation about the color I was going for, looking at reference images together, etc. He is a joy to spend time with, and he does a fantastic job of explaining what exactly he's doing to my hair at each step. I ask a lot of questions during my appointments and he always seems so excited to share his knowledge of and passion for hair! Not to mention, everyone else at Studio Salon & Spa (shampoo ladies, receptionists) is so friendly and welcoming. Could not recommend Randy and his salon more highly!
