R Studio Hair Salon in Santa Maria, CA

I started seeing Lisa at the Studio & have been very happy. I have natural, white/grey hair but have a problem occasionally with yellowing. My previous stylist wasn't interested in helping me figure out how to get the yellow out but Lisa jumped right in. She took time in the consult and made helpful suggestions & I walked out with my natural white/grey hair. Her haircuts have been perfect. She takes the time to listen & explain what she's doing. I appreciate her input & suggestions. She is a gem!

About a year ago I received a horrible haircut from another place in Santa Maria. I didn't trust anyone with my hair. I heard from multiple people that this hair salon was the best in town and that they'll help fix my hair cut. Best decision I've made. Thinking my hair was a goner! But NO! Got my hair fixed and it came out fabulous! I remember getting the waterworks because I felt beautiful again after dealing with the other salon hairdresser. Highly recommended to my friends and family.

I am extremely pleased every time Ricardo creates a masterpiece with my hair. I get compliments from everyone all the time. He is amazing at what he does!

First of all I would like to say Ritchie did such a great job on my hair. I haven't had a good hair stylist since moving to California and to have Ritchie trimmed and style my hair was not only a breath of fresh air but I felt like I finally found the right hair stylist for me. I'm just a bit disappointed and sad that whatever I had said to him while he was trimming my hair, he took offensive and told me that he will no longer will want me as his client. I admit I am a bit nervous when it comes to going to a new hair stylist I have had not so great hair stylist that didn't know how to trim my hair to how I wanted it to look and Ritchie did an amazing job I was so happy to finally found a great hairstylist. I guess I've made him uncomfortable as he said I was scrutinizing him when I came back the second time to fix the right side of my layers as it needed more layers. What I said was not meant to criticize his work, like I says I get nervous and most other hairstylist calmly just tell me to just relax and allow them to do their magic. I feel bad that he took it personally and made me sad that he doesn't think he is a good fit for me as my hairstylist. I thought the customer should come first and go with what they like. I have never had anyone told me that this is the last time i will get my hair done from him, I did not criticize his work just the opposite, he has a unique gift when styling women's hair. I am sad that he decided that he's not a good fit hairstylist for me as I think that should be my choice if I want him to be my hairstylist or not. I am the one paying and I should be happy with my haircut in which I am. I just came in the second time so he can fix the right side as it needed more layering, never once did I thought what I said to him made him decide to no longer want me as his client. This is all new to me as I like I said never had anyone telling me that he will not be my hair stylist any longer and I just wanted the owner, Rolando to read this to let him know that I'm very disappointed in this salon as I thought I had found the perfect salon and the right hairstylist to care for my hair. Ritchie made me uncomfortable when he dismiss me as his client and I don't believe this makes good customer service. Ritchie took what I said personally and in my opinion that was not my intentions at all. I know I need to trust the hair stylist but at the same time I am paying a lot of money I just want to let them know how I like it to be done. Ritchie: when you read this I just wanted to let you know you did a wonderful and beautiful job on my hair. I absolutely love it but I am so sad and disappointed that what I said made you took it personally and offensive that you decided to not accept me as your client. I was truly looking forward to have you as my new hairstylist but sadly I won't get to. I'm sorry that you felt I scrutinized you as that wasn't my intentions at all. I was just nervous as this is how I am, my personality, yet no other hairstylist I've went to dismiss me as a client. Thank you for not charging me on trimming my bangs more, but I feel I need to pay you for your time and service, so I will be stopping by soon to drop off my payment.

This place is AMAZING! I am typically the type of person who cuts my own hair because of the number of bad experiences I've had. After about 3 years of distrust I decided to try this salon. Let me tell you, my expectations were blown out of the water! I felt welcomed, and most importantly I got a beautiful Balayage & haircut! I would definitely recommend anyone in this salon to do your hair. They definitely know what they are doing! Thank you Rolando!
