Supercuts in Santa Maria, CA

I just feel like a business should care more about their clients. I have a stylist at this Supercuts location (Santa Maria) that I really like both for her hair-cutting talent and as a person. I was trying to contact her for an appointment and called the number (which I have confirmed was the correct number) and left messages to call me but no response. There is no personal "this is Supercuts" message but just a generic message. I didn't even know if it WAS Supercuts. After calling that number several time with no response I remembered that I had the personal cell for this stylist. I called and left a message saying I had been calling the studio, etc. and asked her to PLEASE call me. No response. This is over a period of about 2 or 3 weeks. I went by the studio, and it was closed for lunch. There was another client waiting for them to open back up. We shared our frustration. She'd been calling for a few days with no response. I thought, "If she and I are frustrated, how many others are there?" I went back when they were opened again and talked to the stylist. She said she didn't know what was wrong with the phones (although she knew of the problem) and she said the district manager wouldn't "let her change it" or some such thing. I asked why she didn't return my call to her cell phone. She said, "I've been so busy." So, I think the phone actually rings in the studio but they choose not to answer it and either can't get the messages or can and choose to ignore the messages. Whatever, I think that is extremely inconsiderate and unkind, and certainly unprofessional to let this go on and not be a proactive employee (manager) and find a solution to this. Lazy. I won't be going to that establishment again.

I am not too picky and just got a layered hair cut. They did a good job. The place was clean and friendly. Very quiet and sometimes walk ins take a while. There was only one stylist on a Saturday, but I believe everywhere is low on staff right now.

Brought my son to get his hair fixed from a bad haircut at home. Philip did a great job, he fixed his hair. Looks great. Veronica also does a great job. No complains so far. Thank you Philip for squeezing us in your schedule with out an appointment !

I was in need of a quick hair trim and am new in town. Yes, I read the reviews and still thought ... it's just a trim. I don't know how they can even say they cut hair. Veronica would be better as a butcher. Again and again I said I don't want any cut unless needed. She showed me a small amount of my hair she was going to cut. I agreed to that so how did I end up with a staircase up my head?! I kept saying wow you're taking off a lot and I've never had someone do layers like that. She kept going and at the end I said to her this looks horrible and way too short. I told her I needed to use the bathroom to put my hair up because it looked disgusting. I came out to pay and told her I was extremely angry (quietly angry) and my hair looked awful. She showed no remorse or emotion that I was upset. Let me remind you I was very specific on the length and told her multiple times it seemed short. She just said I'll just comp it. Ok but my hair is still messed up. If I had to pay to get f@$ked at least make it good and send me off happy. Now, it will take months for my hair to look normal again. I could've let my worst enemy drink a bottle of tequila and then asked them to cut my hair and it would've looked better.

Arrived on time for the appointment, but was not seen until after over half an hour. I can tell Veronica was giving me dirty looks. Perhaps she noticed I was pissed at her. She did not bother saying sorry at all for being late. Why make an appointment if you can't see people on time? So for that she did not get a tip.
