I really wanted to like this place because it looks relatively clean, has a chill atmosphere and the people who work there are pleasant. But the 1 star rating is for the bad outcome. I tried Q Nails & Spa because of the location and the decent reviews. For upcoming special event-my birthday that was to be celebrated over a course of multiple days. The pedicure - mediocre at best. The nails were not trimmed properly and were too long. Pedicures usually last a few weeks, but after 1.5 weeks I removed it, so I could properly trim my toe nails. Since then I have been getting complements on my toes. The manicure - I requested a dip powder manicure. Some colleagues have recommended them as a replacement for the gel method. So I chose a nice color. 2 hours later (no cuticle care either...), I got a horrible bumpy version. My nails looked fake (see photos) and an ugly pump at the nail bed from the procedure not being done right. It looked like my nail beds had joints (see photos). But it gets worse....before the two week anniversary of this manicure..the whole dip powder started popping off....one during the day and two at work. I needed an emergency simple manicure. Again, worst mani/pedi of my life. The only nice aspect was the color I picked.
Not a great experience for me. I had gel done for a special event. The polishing was fine it was all the rest that needs work. No cuticle trims and very little scrubs on my heels, cool water for a soak? . I have mani, pedis frequently so I'm used to a very different level of service. I would not recommend. Ever!
I made an appointment for my mother's first ever manicure / pedicure, and we had no wait time when we arrived. The staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful and very good at what they do. They turned my mom into a huge fan, so we will definitely be back! She especially loved the wine and the massage chairs, and kept telling her provider that she really loved the process. Their gel polish fingernail work was very careful and smooth, and still look great almost 2 weeks later. The atmosphere was comfortable, relaxed and very friendly, we love the place!
