I love Pure Salon, especially my stylist, Heather Schwantz! She does such a great job of making my hair that wants to go grey to its natural color, auburn with highlights. I've been a patron of Heather's for 10 years so I think I'll continue!

I went back to Pure & it was disastrous. New owners. We were parked outside, I called and made it on time BUT the NEW owners informed me I lost my spot and SABRINA YATES did not glance my way. It was SUREAL. I was Out. Sabrina Yates is a truly rude person. If you're looking for encouragement she will not be available she already has your mixture for hair color and the scissors in hand Yes Sabrina efficient, like a western gunslinger s best is fast. Our schedule is tight. I knew she was rude but I gave her the opportunity to tell me I was wrong did not happen. Goodbye Sabrina Yates and whatever attitude you aspire too, Kindness , maybe???

I was a little disappointed in my cut. The picture I showed my stylist had a lot more layers. And the highlights were richer in the picture. What I got were straw colored highlights. It was Labor Day weekend and the whole process felt rushed. My hair stylist started talking about what time she needed to leave. It didn't make me feel like a very valued customer.

The owner cut my hair. It was the best cut I've had in a while. Simple but exactly what I wanted. Her hands are magic and I left with GREAT HAIR! This will be my regular spot for my hair needs for sure. The whole staff was super, super friendly. Great experience.

I would like to start with the fact that I am sad to have to write this review. I made an appointment with Robyn Cook on Wednesday 8/21/19. I asked Robyn for a blonde balayage. She gladly accepted so I assumed that she knew what she was doing. I asked questions at every step in the process, because her technique was different than what I was used to (She did not section my hair, she did not weave before adding foils, maybe 10-15 foils were used, I sat under a heater for maybe 15 minutes, and when I asked her about "melting my hair" she had no idea what I was talking about). I figured that maybe she knew a different way to create the baylayage and who am I to question someone's profession especially when she has been doing this for a very long time. She had done my sister's hair for a few years before my sister moved out of state. Needless to say, the end result was not a balayage, but more of a chunky highlight (I hate highlights). Not only was it not a balayage, but it was also not blonde. I am a natural dirty blonde and the color that "lifted" she said that she had to tone down because there was some red in my ends (something she mentioned only after she blew my hair out and saw that the color was not a prominent blonde in the least). I had previously told her about some red that was placed in my hair over 2 years ago, which was long grown out and cut off because I keep a short cut. I paid ******$205****** out the door...cut, color, eyebrows, along with a $30 tip. She knew I was not in love with it and before I left the chair I mentioned my disappointment because I wanted it to be lighter. She told me that I was more than welcome to come in for another session! I bet I am welcome to come in and pay another $200 for her to "lift" and "baylayage" my hair! After about 2 days of pondering whether I should say something, I text her and asked her about lightening the color. She told me that if I wanted to pull the toner out then I could wash my hair with baking soda. She offered this hack 3-4 times and then told me if I want it to be really potent then I could add dawn dish soap. Not once did she offer to have me come in and work on a color correction. Finally I told her that I was just asking for her to help fix it and that it was not really a balayage but more of a chunky highlight. She then told me that this was the best option that she could give me for stripping toner! NOOOOOOO, the best option was for you to do what you could to help me fix it. Her best option was to invite me back into the salon. At the end she said I could come in and she could help but that if I did not like, color, placement, etc. then it might be best for me to find another stylist. I was shocked by how rude and dismissive that comment was. I never responded. I went to the salon on Saturday and spoke with the owner (Skylar) who told me that there wasn't much she could do but to talk to Robyn since she rents a booth it was at her discretion. Skylar said that she would contact me by 3PM that Saturday. The owner never called me. I heard from Robyn on Monday and she told me that the owner had mentioned my visit and then she asked if I wanted to come in and strip the toner. NO! I want a stylist who cares. A stylist with enough professionalism to admit a mistake and fix it! This was a very uncomfortable situation for me. I struggled with even saying anything. I googled what to do if I didn't like my hair, and hair stylist etiquette. I sent pictures to my friends and sisters and they all said the same thing. There was not a noticeable difference and for that money, she should have been more than willing to help me fix it. Robyn had even messed my sister's hair up on multiple occasions and was more than happy to have her back in to correct it free of charge. So I am not sure why I was treated so poorly. I am attaching pictures and text messages so that you can get the full effect of her unprofessionalism and lack of skills
