Paris Parker Salon & Spa in Metairie, LA

I went to see Sean at Paris Parker Lakeside after my previous hairdresser had been giving me "long layers" in the back at a length that was up to my EYES.

I asked him to please help me - but - oh - you can't cut it all off because I'm getting married in 6 months. LOL, I'm sure every hairdresser's dream.

Well, he not only somehow cut small amounts off at a time until the wedding - but he also evened out the disastrous mushroom helmet cut I had going on.  After my wedding, I told him to do the big chop, and ever since my hair has evened out and looks and feels wonderful again.

I have thick frizzy hair, and I finally can FEEL the thickness again!

Sean is wonderful to talk to - I want to be his friend in real life. He is such a joy.  

The salon is small, so it is often quiet when I go in with only maybe one other customer. I love that it's not crazy busy and no one has ever tried to upsell me products!!

The only annoying thing is that it's inside the mall, but this has only been challenging around holidays. Otherwise - no problems whatsoever!

I've been going to Paris Parker for years, and my stylist Betty is just top notch. So friendly and professional, and remembers personal details, even though she tons of clients. I always leave her chair feeling super good about myself, and her superb service! The other staff are also very nice and accommodating, the salon it's self very clean and kept to a high standard. 5 stars!

Shawn gave me an amazing blowout, wash, and cut! Great conversationalist too! Loved his work!

not recommended !! destroyed my hair, and no Basic knowledge of how to cut hair!!
it's not about money guys, but I don't understand how they hired people without basic knowledge of how to cut hair.
it's logical for any barber to have Neck Strips paper to not let the hair go down your clothes, they looked at me in a strange way when I asked for it! I can feel hair inside all my clothes!!

Does not accommodate people in larger bodies- I had an appointment at Lakeside today with Betty and I was very disappointed to discover that none of the salon chairs accommodate larger bodies. People like me are often embarrassed to say something and might try to squeeze in and be uncomfortable because we are treated poorly. But I'm not embarrassed. Betty was very kind and said that she has asked the manager to have at least one station for larger people. I hope you will consider adding a station or two for larger people. I promise it'll pay off!
