Prim & Posh in Metairie, LA

Absolutely love my Gel-X nails that Nancy did for me! She did an amazing job and I would definitely go back. 10/10 recommend!!

Do not even try to be a walk-in customer! They won't take you & they will be extra rude about it if you try. How this place stays in business baffles me. There are maybe 8 chairs- but always only two technicians. I like to support businesses in my neighborhood- but have given up on this place completely, which is sad given it is walking distance from my home. There are plenty of other nail salons on Metairie Rd- don't waste your energy on Prim & Posh- they won't appreciate you.

I booked an appointment for my sister and I yesterday. Today, we showed up on time, there were 2 people working. We were not greeted, sat ourselves, and began to look at colors. We received more greeting from the other clients in the chairs. After about 2-3 minutes of silence, one staff asked if she could help us, and I reminded her of the appt I had booked. We waited a full 50 minutes before we were even seated at a chair--It wasn't until I audibly called another salon in the waiting area that they sat us.

For my sister's manicure, they did not put a base coat on her nails. They put no lotion on her hands nor oil on her fingers. Since we were behind schedule, she left with wet nails.

For my pedicure, I confirmed the color with the stylist, and she still painted my toes the wrong color. The pedicure bath was lukewarm, my feet did not soak, and the cuticle removal was painful (since my feet had not soaked).

Two more people came in with previous appts--since we started late, they also had to wait 45 minutes. Another person came in and asked if they took walk-ins--both staff members looked up at her when she addressed them, and then looked back down and said nothing. No one was greeted, no communication took place--no attempts to reschedule, no customer service, just blank stares and ignored clients. 1 star because the lotion on my pedicure smelled good, and the polish looked presentable.

Recommendations:
- call before you go in, even if you have an appointment.
- QUADRUPLE check color choice.
- Book somewhere else.

We have been to every nail salon in the city, on both side of the river and even some across the lake.  The Metairie Road location of Prim & Posh is truly THE BEST.  I love that you can book the appointment online without any issues, the salon is clean and nicely updated, the technicians are friendly and efficient, and best of all your manicures LAST.  They have great products, their cuticle techniques are flawless (no snaggy nails!).  I am so glad to have found my favorite nail salon in New Orleans!

RUDE RUDE RUDE There were not busy  at all. I was not greeted when I entered except for a curt "wash your hands and pick your color".  Two people waiting walked out. I would have, but I wanted a manicure for my son's wedding. I had an appointment. It took 15 minutes for give me a gel manicure... That should tell the quality of the manicure I received. NEVER AGAIN. I should have listened to the Yelp reviews.
