Panico Salon & Spa in Ridgewood, NJ

My experience at Panico is always pleasant. The girls at the front desk are personable and welcoming. Sometimes (not always) offer you coffee, tea or water while you wait. I've never waited long for my stylist however. I've had a few other stylists over the years here and always a nice cut. Since I began graying I wanted someone at a high level to knew how to reccommend the right shades for color/highlighting and styling. Mernaz chose beautiful tones and colors for me and has since given me wonderful cuts, always listening to what I was looking for or needed. She is a true professional, excellent at her craft and knowledgeable about hair! I don't go as often, perhaps, as other women might. But that's only because of the cost. However, Mernaz is worth treating yourself and looking and feeling beautiful !

Completely ruined hair for $460, what a waste of four hours. Yellow oversized streaks for absolutely no reason, I asked for the roots to remain my natural color. I was also told to stop speaking while on the phone by Briannna Panico while she was applying glaze, toner and whatever else she applied. Couldn't keep up. Spend your money elsewhere.

Wonderful experience at this salon. The atmosphere is so nice. My stylist Kelsey was adorable and gave me exactly what I was looking for. Shes a color genius!! She also gave me good maitenence tips and products for after I left the salon. Cant wait to book again! Bella did my shampooing/ glaze and was veryyy kind. The intern Jules was extremely welcoming, made me a tea, and was all around a nice girl, just like everyone else I came across today!! For a partial highlight and blow out with level 4 stylist, I ended up paying around $250.

This week, my daughter had the worst haircut ever at the Panico Salon in Ridgewood. She chose one of the "Master" stylists in the mistaken belief that the woman would do a wonderful job for $120. However, the women just chopped off huge chunks of her hair. It is so uneven and she can't do a thing with it, perfect for her first day of school. I called the salon twice, was put on hold for ever and then sent to voicemail. I left a message, no call back. I sent two emails requesting a call, no call.

$455 dollars for completely ruined hair. I went for color and a cut with Yazmin for an important event. Left with a burned scalp, frizzy broken damaged hair and the nightmare of having to work a high profile event all next week looking like this. Supercuts would have done better. I started with hair half way down my back, healthy- now will have to find a salon to cut it short and let it grow back over the next 1 to 2 years. Add to that the front desk receptionist was rude and dismissive when I came into the salon. Gaby , clients are paying for services. You are not doing them a favor being behind the desk.
