Lora Celli Salon in Ridgewood, NJ

This is a long overdue review for Laura. I should have done one so long ago. Laura has many amazing qualities. She is an excellent businesswoman and entrepreneur. But she is also is a consummate artist who is able to understand and interpret for her clients needs. Most clients come in unable to relay what they really want. It is the job of the artist to take charge and help them achieve their wants. Some artists weaken to the client when others take charge because internally they can translate and act upon what they know their client really needs because it is not their first day at the rodeo. This is not Laura's first day at the rodeo. She knows exactly what her client needs wheather it is their first day in her salon or their 20th. She asks me what I am feeling about my cut and color I tell her and she takes the wheel and I have NEVER been disappointed. It means alot to me that she observes what has happened to my hair in regards to how it has reacted to the environment or my chemical makeup and is able to make changes and subtle nuances to my formula every time I come in. She always asks me for my permission to make changes and I keep telling her just do what you think but I appreciate her respect for me as a client to have a part on the decision making process. She is very respectful of that. I always feel comfortable voicing my opinion and never feel steam rolled which can be a big problem in the industry. Also as a post note she is an incredible human being and a boat load of fun to be with. I feel she is invested in my well being and she has a balance in her life which allows her to be invested 100% in her clients. Her assistant is amazing also takes the wheel and when she jumps in on me I know she is 100% fulfilling her bosses wishes and not changing anything. The salon is a well oiled machine and all its moving parts are well in calibration. The salons aesthetic is beautiful and I feel comfortable in its embrace. Much attention is paid to details. The tiniest details to the comfort of the client are always met. I always feel like I am coming home. I love you Laura you are the best and I am so sorry it took this long to write you the review you so rightfully deserve.

I love Lora Celli Salon. It's a very welcoming place, and I love the vibe. Most of all, I love Laura who is the owner. I met her years ago, and I trust her completely, to the point that I let her decide how exactly to cut and color my hair (I just give her the general idea of what I'm looking to do). She takes time to talk to you for as long as it takes so there's no confusion, and you get what you want. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone over the many salons I have gone to in the past.

I go to Nikki for cuts at Lora Celli and she's a magician. No matter what the weather is, how wavy or straight my hair is on any given day or how little effort I put into doing it, my hair looks great! Better than ever. And it's held shape for weeks. I cannot reccomend Nikki enough. Laura does my color and she is a master. Truly. I'm so happy I started going to these ladies at Lora Celli!

This is the hottest new Hair Salon around! Located right across the street from whole foods makes it easy to get to without the hassle of going into the heart of Ridgewood. The decor is new and fresh and doesn't feel like other cookie cutter salons. When you arrive you're met by Paula, the salon owner Laura's sister. They're both so welcoming and make you feel special just by walking in. Coffee, specialty drinks and goodies are always offered. Laura brought me from a dull brunette haircolor to a vibrant, gorgeous red head. Since red is the most difficult color to deal with she takes great care to make sure my color comes out perfect and consistent every single time. She uses products on me specific to my hair type to ensure my hair is as healthy as can be. She's been in the hair industry for so many years and it definitely shows in her work and it's apparent she's passionate about the services she provides. All in all I will keep coming back every time I need my hair done, I'll never go anywhere else. Give this new salon a try, you'll be happy you did. Best of luck in your salon Laura!
