Worst salon experience my daughter and I have had. I was so disappointed with the customer service and final outcome of the style provided. First both stylist were running severely behind schedule, so much so that the stylist that was slated to do my daughter's hair had to have another stylist do her hair. That stylist was extremely harsh in her braiding technique and manner. My daughter has been to the salon before and has never complained of the tension, but she mentioned the braids were too tight and started crying, and the stylist berated her. Saying that's why she doesn't style kids hair, not even her daughters. The other stylist reminded her that it should be "ouch less braiding" but she just got even more upset with my daughter for silently crying. Saying her tears made her feel bad and that she would stop braiding before the service was complete. It was horrible. Additionally, she was unsure of how to use the hair the other stylist suggested we purchase so the service took even longer as she tried to get up to speed. For my stylist she did not provide the requested service. She used a crochet method to install passion twists instead of starting with a braid then twisting the hair. She also installed too many large braids anchored in Tony sections of my hair which resulted in a bulky, heavy look and feel. Throughout the service I asked her to adjust braids that were causing too much tension. I never had a chance to see how she was installing the braids and the look until more than half way through the process. After the service, I followed up to ask how much it would be to thin out the style. I sent pictures as requested. I was told they would get back to me and no one ever responded. And within 3 days my hair started to unravel from the crochet twist. It was a horrible style and experience. I didn't last past 3 weeks in this style. And in taking the twists out this weekend I found that I lost so much hair due to how the twists were installed, far too tight and bulky, applying stress on the follicle. I've been working to grow and maintain healthy natural hair for the last 3 years only for them to unravel that progress with one style. I'm so disappointed. Again, the worst braiding experience ever and I will never return for services here. I recommend you save your time, money and hair. They are causing hair loss with their practices.

Location Fayetteville I got braids on 7/6 I sent a picture of braids I wanted which were shoulder length (bob). When they were braiding I told them I wanted them a little bit past my shoulder. After braids were finished I thought they would adjust the length to picture, but they said they couldn't because it would mess up braids (there were 2 braiders then one just left the one braider by herself). They clip a little but they were still longer than I wanted. Before leaving the shop I informed the scheduler that I wanted them shorter. First she told me to come back the next day. Then I got a call later telling me that I would be charged because the braider said I wanted them longer. I was shocked because I've never had them to not provide great customer service. After that I was like no I will just have to deal with it even thought that's not customer service. Fast forward to today 7/12/23 and my braids are coming undone because they are not knotted at the ends. I've sent pictures over to the salon scheduler and she advised that they would get back in touch with me. Also requested to have the owner call me but not sure if she will. I've been a customer since 2018 and very disappointed in the customer service. Hope the shop will do the right thing and fix my braids properly.

I booked this appointment on 11/22 surprised that they had availability before Thanksgiving. After booking I called to see if I need to wash my hair before arriving. My appointment was confirmed via text and again a reminder the next day. On 11/23 @3pm was supposed to be my appointment. I arrive early waited outside in my cair and still came in 10mins early only to find out that Urbi changed my appointment time without telling me. They asked if i could do 4:30 and i was not willing to wait 1.5hrs before someone to even start on my hair and it wasn't even a guarantee she would be there since she changed my time after confirming it. One of the stylist calls Urbi because they said she was supposed to call me. When they get her on the phone she said she called me and it went to voicemail. This is so unacceptable and unprofessional at the same time. If you needed to change the appointment you call the person until you reach them. I have no missed call or voicemail showing anyone called. You wasted my travel time there and back with nothing but I'll refund your deposit after me asking for my deposit back. NOPE she did not even offer or mention anything about returning my money.I highly don't recommend this place at all. If I was reached timely i could of made accommodations but you want me to wait for your 1.5hr for you to even start my hair which will take every bit of 2 to 3hrs for you to do. I washed and blew dry my hair for nothing. I really NEVER blow dry my hair due to amount of heat it takes.. Now I have freshly washed and blown out hair that i have to figure out what to do with it.. Freaking ridiculous Urbi!!!

I have to update my review. Ms. Marie is a woman of her word. They acknowledged the break down in communication and corrected the style. Ms. Debbie and Ms. Andrea were great. I will be returning and I recommend this salon. You really find out about how sincere people are when you have an issue and the way they handle it.
