Still have customers coming in while performing electrical work. Fuse kept tripping while under the dryer. Theres a random woman charging you $5 dollars to wash your hair which doesn't come out of the total. Wasnt offered a discount for inconvenience.

The lady who owns this shop is very friendly and nice, Ive have to tweak one of my locs but otherwise they were nice and neat. If you're looking for someone who does perfect squares and equal parts all over your head then you should probably find someone else. The product that she used to twist my hair left some type of tan residue that fell out a few days to a week later. I also picked some of it out, the biggest complaint I have is that she wasn't on time and I sat around and waited an HR plus after my scheduled appointment. So I was in the shop a lot longer than intended because my appointment ended up taking longer than I expected. Instead of a 3pm appointment I started pretty close to 5pm and go out of there a few hrs later. Other than that it was a pretty nice place to start my locs.

They're open on Memorial Day. That's an automatic plus because the original shop that I was considering 1. wasn't open yesterday and 2. didn't answer the phone today. Tanae (sp?) started my locs with two strand twists. She's a cool woman and had great conversation to put me at ease. Alfia is the shop owner and is equally cool. The conversations flowed smoothly and were pretty great topics. Nothing basic and no gossip. No offense to people who enjoy those topics. The wait time wasn't long, even though I was a walk-in. The wash was amazing and the hair styling process was painless. I'm currently on the worst part, which is just sitting under the dryer, getting my ears cooked. I was originally planning to have them start my locs and just do the maintenance myself, but I enjoy the atmosphere here and wouldn't mind coming back.

I recommended this place for my mother to get a braids hairstyle and she said she absolutely loved it. She was in quickly in a decent amount of time and walked out with a nice updo braid and bun hairstyle.
