She was 47 minutes late for the appointment and then did a 15-20 minute "tutorial" about washing and conditioning hair! She was bragging about having been a special education teacher, some kind of degree in the medical field and something about chemistry/science. All while talking about how professional she is... but she did not show it. I left without getting my hair done. She talks too much!!! If your client does not want a tutorial stop talking and just do your job

Cykeithia is unprofessional and rude. The day before my mother's appointment she notified her of a new REQUIRED check in procedure. To our surprise, this requirement entails posting her flyer on social media. The flyer must be posted prior to entering the building and must be shown to Cykeithia upon arrival. My mom does not use her social media for advertisement, and even if she did, would not feel comfortable promoting a business PRIOR to services being rendered. My mom replied asking for an alternative way to check in. In response, Cykeithia requested a friend post the flyer and she be shown a screen shot of the post and emphasized the importance of supporting black businesses. Again my mom responded, this time highlighting that she always tries to support black business and that she would happily post a review AFTER service has been rendered. Cykeithia replied that she was not asking for a review. Cancelled my mom's appointment and kept her deposit! What does that tell you? This stylist is not in the business of earning your business and is not forthcoming with her requirements before accepting a deposit from blindsided patrons. If she took pride in her work she would not force promotion from clients, especially those who she's never worked with. A review should always be optional and earned. Asking people to blindly promote her is tacky and selfish. Perhaps she should find a better marketing approach. Clearly, this isn't working for her.

During our initial consultation, we settled on a date and price. A couple of days before my appointment, I was informed that prior to my arrival, I was to post her flyer on my social media account to promote her business. When I asked for further clarification, she became rude and then texted me a higher price for her services than was previously quoted! Although I've never heard of promoting anyone BEFORE you receive a service, I was willing to do so but after she was very rude, raised the price, then insulted me because I'm a millennial, I don't recommend using her services.
