A regular manicure typically involves nail shaping, cuticle care, and the application of nail polish, which can last up to a week. A gel manicure involves similar steps but uses a gel-based polish and UV light to cure the polish, resulting in a more durable finish that can last up to two weeks without chipping.

I have had my nails done at this salon many times before, but this salon has recently changed ownership and seriously declined in quality of service. The woman who did my nails today repeatedly messed up and I left with my nails bumpy, uneven and not properly shaped. She also began to oil my nails with gloves on that she had just been wearing to clip a woman's toes. To me that is a serious breach of cleanliness, and I will not be returning.
I visited my best friend in Albany and we decided to get much-needed mani pedis. We called Nails & Spas in the morning to see if they had any availability and they said they'd be able to take us both at 3 pm, no problem. We showed up at 3 pm for our appointments, and we had to wait about 20 minutes before we were helped. Once we were helped, though, the service was good, and everything moved pretty quickly. My only other major issue is that during my manicure, two of my cuticles started to bleed because they were a bit aggressive with the tools. I do have sensitive skin, but after a few minutes I needed a Band-Aid. Otherwise, everything was great and I had a pleasant experience. I would just make an appointment if you're going from Fri-Sun.
First time at this location and will not be going back. Staff didn't listen to what we wanted even though when we first walked through the door and asked if they could match a picture we were told yes. My pedicure gel polish is already peeling off 3 of my toes in less then 3 days which was a direct result of my nail technician applying way to much polish with each coat. The polish was all over my skin too. My daughter's manicure was poorly done and once other customers started coming in the door they started rushing through us. Got 1 pedicure, 2 acrylic sets with gel polish, 2 eyebrow wax (which they barely did anything)and the cost was $189.00. extremely pricey for th poor service and product they offer.
Terrible, very disappointed! Paid $36 for pedicure and manicure that only took 35 minutes, never massaged my feet or hands and terrible cuticle care! I complained to the manager and she stated that is the way they do it! Maybe that is why there were no other customers in the shop (the reason I went there is because I had been to 2 other Spa's and there was a long wait). I will never go back and I suggest the same for others!
Terrible experience. Even though the place was clean and the lady seemed nice, the pedicure was awful. I chose pedi with hot stones for 35$. It was waste of money and even hot stones were cold :(
