Nail Trix in Auburn, ME

On Aug 28, 2023 went here for a basic pedicure. While the woman did a nice job, I contracted nail fungus which I've never had before. I recently noticed that my toenails were all smokey white and discolored instead of the healthy pinkish color they normally are. I saw my doctor today and she told me my nails are smokey white and discolored because there is a fungus. I am really irritated because everybody I've ever known that had nail fungus says you can never get rid of it and everybody I've known has told me they've contracted it after getting a pedicure. I have never had that experience until now and so I am not recommending this place because their nail polishes which they use on people's nails are then used on the next people's nails which means every nail polish in that establishment is most likely infected with fungus because they don't give you the bottle when you're done and they don't throw it away after they use it on your feet or somebody else's feet. Now I've got to deal with nail fungus on all 10 toes.

The lady did not even look at my nails while working with them. She cut me three times, did not cure the acrylic, and was very aggressive with the nail file. There was another lady who did my nail design and she did it very quickly and sloppy. I asked for white nails with stars, not grey with blobs.

The nails came out good but it was not what I had asked for I showed her a picture (first photo) and asked how much it would cost, it was 50 which was understandable but once she started painting it was too late to say anything. She was extremely rough filing on the side of my nails I couldn't sit still until she used the efile and cut deep in my cuticles twice on my thumb once on my pinky and one under my finger I'm all wrapped up in bandages:(

I went yesterday and my nails are already chipping and my nails are so bumpy they aren't even clean the white is grey. I asked for marble and they said what I wanted wasn't marble And it was supposed to be marble. I'm so disappointed I'm gonna have to go else where to get them fixed. on top of that my nails are all read and crusted from the way they filed them.

I wasn't really impressed after I left Nail Tix. My cuticles were very sore and a couple of them were red and irritated. I went on a Thursday and by Saturday two of my nails had chipped. Also, my nails were so rough around the edges that they kept catching on material.  By the following Thursday two more had chipped. The tech seemed nice enough but didn't ask any questions like what shaped I wanted and I felt like she rushed the job. I do not recommend this salon.
