Nail Expressions in Virginia Beach, VA

Great service. Needed nails done. Only in town for the weekend. Walked in and waited a few minutes but chatted with other customers. Everyone gave good reviews. I wanted ombré and the lady took her time to shape and fill my nails. Did a great job and didn't rush. I appreciated that and was happy with my nails.

Old review: I love this place, been coming here for a little over a year now and although they' sometimes short staff, they will get you in. The actual hours of business are Sunday-Friday 0930-2000 (8 pm). They're closed on Saturdays and because of that, Sundays are their busiest days. I love the family type feeling and how everyone can crack jokes and still stay professional. Luna is great when it comes to anything and she, also, specializes in facial waxing. My bestfriend always gets her eyebrows done by her and they always come out great. If you want to go there during their downtimes, I recommend going on a weekday right after work or during lunch. New Review: I switched nail locations after being overcharged for a color change and waiting over 45 minutes for it. So much for being a reoccurring customer.

Very disappointed today. Took my 13 y/o daughter for a mani and a pedi for me. My daughter was finished before me and while my feet were under the dryer, they wanted me to pay. I was fine with that until my daughter came and sat down beside me and I learned that her tech walked out on her and didn't complete her mani. My daughter said the tech was on her phone the whole time and the got up and walked out b/c of some issue with her puppy?! Although her nails were painted, the tech did not finish the mani with cuticle oil or lotion, which is what I paid for! I also included a tip for the tech before I found out she walked out. Now I know why they were in such a hurry for me to pay. Hmmm?! And my pedi was not as neat and well polished as the last time I was there. We will be finding a new place to get our mani and pedi!!

Overall they did a pretty good job. I went here to get my acrylics done and as you guys know when you go and get acrylics, they show you a nail pallette of all the colors you can choose. I asked for a color and they didn't have it. I asked for another color, they also didn't have it! They don't have a lot of color choices but it didn't bother me that much. I had a guy that was doing my nails. He didn't talk very much but again, it didn't bother me that much. He cut my cudicle two times. He disinfected it but when he took the paper towel to wipe my cut, he was very rough which kinda hurt. Overall I would recommend this place! Some of the staff do really good and others don't do as good of a job.

I usually go to Anthony Vince however I broke a nail and needed a quick fix and saw this place was open later. I was appreciative at first because they were willing to squeeze me in late. However after getting there I realized I should've not even bothered. They made me sit with my nails in acetone for about 30 minutes while she painted someone else's nails. So basically I had to pay an extra five dollars to sit for thirty minutes in acetone because they charge for the"polish removal" SO BAD FOR MY NAILS! I was already frustrated. Then as she began the dip polish process I noticed a lot of steps were left out. It was definitely a rush job. Now, not even a week later and about five of my nails are already chipping. Anytime I get them done at anything Vince they last me AT LEAST three weeks with no issues. At the very end she topped off the dip powder with gel polish. Most place WILL NOT do this because it is the fast and easy way to top it off and then that top coat peels off quickly and easily afterwards. But again, she was rushing and gel would make it dry faster than what someone would normally do. What a waste of $35. Will not go back. Their color selections were also very limited.
