Nail Chix in Redding, CA

I used to get my nails done here every two weeks. It is definitely a clean shop. The work was decent, but could have been better. I've since learned that good nails don't require going in every two weeks. What stands out most is the completely unprofessional atmosphere. The political swag is proudly displayed and the extreme opinions are shared loudly and proudly. Perhaps this brings in some customers, but I wonder how many choose a shop with a comfortable, inviting atmosphere.

If only I could give her 10 stars! Mary is the absolute best nail tech I have ever had. I've been going to her for well over 6 years now. She ALWAYS does an amazing job! She is so talented and can draw just about anything wanted on your nails. Any time I break a nail (mine are extremely long and I'm definitely not as careful with them as I should be LOL) she is able to get me in for a fix without a problem or complaint! The salon is very cute and clean. Her customer service is phenomenal, as it should be when you own your own business. She is so easy to talk to and such a joy to be around! Overall, if you want good, lasting, beautiful nails, Mary is your girl!

I was very disappointed in my experience. Mary did an amazing job on my nails, but during my appointment I was completely bombarded with almost Qanon/medical misinformation rhetoric. When she realized we clearly were not on the same page regarding her beliefs, she just kept going on even more. She had already started working on my nails and my kids were being babysat so that I could be there do I didn't want to leave with incomplete nails so I just kept trying to redirect the conversation to other topics the rest of the time. Being an very overwhelmed mom, I started getting my nails done as part of "Self-Care" time recommended by my doctor; I honestly left stressed and frustrated. I was extremely nice the entire time and still tipped because she did a great job, but I will never go back nor would I recommend her.

I Give mary 1 star cuz her shop was clean and she was nice when i first met her, and my nails looked great. But 3 days in, 2 of my nails broke off very easily, and when i asked about getting them fixed, mary got an attitude with me and wasnt very nice. So most definitely will be taking my business elsewhere. This isnt the first time i have been mistreated from someone who owns their own salon, guess cuz they are their own boss they think all rules are out and they can treat others however they feel, good and bad, and its not ok. FYI to salon owners, keep a decent RESPECTFUL customer service persona. Dont cop attitudes and tell a customers its their fault for things that go wrong. In my case she rushed and made my nails to thin there for they broke as easy as chips And tried to tell me it was cuz they were to long, which i have had long nails in the past many times and never had issues. And i was completely understanding for our specific situation but how she handled it was completely uncalled for. Hopefully she dont do this often but my personal experience was awful! Zero stars for customer service. $55 down the drain!

Sent my daughter in for prom nails, I wasn't there and wish I had been. The nails were supposed to look like " marble accent" and did not look anything like what she asked for and she was charged $70! Not cool
