Monarch Hair Co in Chesapeake, VA

I don't recommend this hair salon. They are very expensive and do a horrible job with color. I have tried so many times to get my hair colored and it would last longer than 2 weeks. But this never happened. I tried one more time and at first my color looked good never exactly the right color but went with it. Then I was told we should use a high end color and again 2 weeks. Somehow they continue to say it isn't guaranteed. Very poor customer service. Then when I send them an email about it for the 10th time over the year. Then they became offensive and said they have gone above and beyond. Wait a minute you guys keep saying you can do the right color but you never do. Now I'm also told I am being a bully. What???? This is what you get from a young person that thinks everything is a bully. Even if you own the business. Omg please grow up. Definitely stay away from this salon.

Wynter is the best stylist I've ever had! I've been getting my hair done by her for 6 years!!!! She constantly exceeds my expectations and every visit is such an experience! Her salon is beautifully decorated. She's always made me feel comfortable from the moment I walk in. Her creativity is literally unmatched. You won't regret getting your hair done by her!!!! Worth every single penny!

Wynter is excellent at her craft and truly is one of the top color/hair educators and artists I've ever seen. Her humility and kindness seep into every aspect of her daily operations and she creates a beautiful atmosphere for her clients. I've had my hair done by her twice and felt like a goddess as soon as I arrived. Not just when I left. I haven't gained just a hair stylist, I've gained a friend. The relationship built and the experience of working with Wynter surpasses any budget related hesitation or insecurity. Just do it. Her COVID precautions are top notch and though I haven't been in to see her since the pandemic hit, I know first hand + through her social media communications that her clients are her top priority. 1000000% recommend the location, services, artist herself and experience. You won't regret it. Tip: get a fantasy color done by her! She breaks down how color mapping works/warmth/how your color/hair history all play a role in the process of what you get done.

I tell people that Wynter is a hair genius. She gave me the best cut I've ever had, and an amazing copper balayage that is unique but still natural. Love love love. She is very warm and welcoming and makes you feel comfortable and beautiful. Highly recommend!! It should be noted that she's moved from the VA Beach location to XO Salon on Granby Street in downtown Norfolk.

Wynter is great! I started going to her for my hair needs when we were both living in NYC, & then again upon relocating to VA Beach. I appreciate her skill, honesty, & creativity.
