MKJ Nails in Hilliard, OH

I've been a couple of times to get full sets and fills, they're always able to get us in for an appointment. the people are nice and do a pretty good job. theres been some not-great nails and prices are a little high but, for a salon, it's one of the better ones.

Was in town unexpectedly and really needed my nails done. Got in on a Wednesday afternoon during a slow time. Susan did an amazing dip manicure for me. Lovely shape and filing job. Spa pedicure with regular polish includes all the necessary elements for cleaned up feet. Would come again if I'm in town again.

I moved to Hilliard recently and I have been looking for a new nail place. This place more than met my expectations. Since I was in between nail places my dip nails had grown out so far that my whole nail was starting to break off because I had so much unpainted nail with like dip ends. I ended up taking the dip off myself but it left the rest of my nail so fragile that they kept breaking. I usually don't get nail extensions or acrylic nails, but this time I decided to try to find somewhere that would do acrylic extensions for me. I was looking for a place on a Sunday which sometimes it's harder to get your nails done on a Sunday. Luckily this place is open on Sundays! I had a great experience talking to the girl and she was helping out the couple who runs the place and had nothing but good things to say about the owners. I literally went and picked up coffee right after getting my nails done and the barista to complimented my nails. The picture in the review is being written and taken the Thursday after I got my nails done and they just feel so strong and look so great.

I am so disappointed in this place. I made an appointment for a gel manicure and pedicure for 6:30 PM. I showed up to my appointment 20 minutes early and they told me someone else took my appointment time. The girl who said it was her appointment was ridiculous. It was for sure a Karen moment for that woman. I never will go back because they schedule appointments and take walk-ins. They don't take accountability for their scheduled appointments. The women who showed up was a walk in and did not have an appointment. I just said screw it and left. Never going back again. I'm not wasting my time. Don't waste yours. CT nails is right down the road and totally worth the wait.

I hate to leave such a negative review especially with small business struggling during this time but I must share as a buyer beware. I have been to this salon a few times and most of my experiences have been good, but this last time was a nightmare. I made an appointment for a mani-pedi but when I arrived I ended waiting over an hour with no explanation. When I was finally called back I asked the technician to simply remove my p/w full set since I had been waiting for so long. I don't know if she felt rushed, but she was using the drill to remove my acrylic nails when she slipped and cut open my finger. Very painful and she used glue to try to stop the bleeding.
