After reading the reviews I would not come to. your establishment. I do not see as individuals that were treated with respect or professionalism. I do want you to know reviews do make a difference. Do better

Wish I'd read the reviews before making today's appointment and leaving thoroughly disappointed. If I could give 0 stars, I would. On to continuing my search for a natural hair specialist and stylist who doesn't just specialize in locs and blown out styles.

Getting a consultation for hair loss is extremely difficult. On July, I was told that there would be no appointments until September. Today, I just got a call saying that there won't be any hair loss appointments in September either. I just told them that I'm fed up and just hung up the phone. I'm not returning there because it seems that they are determined to not take in new clients & I'm fed up with waiting.

Made an appointment for a consultation with the owner. Was contacted prior to the appointment to move the time. Even after adjusting the appointment time, I still ended up waiting over an hour for my consultation. A consultation that I paid for, by the way (consultations are not free). When I arrived the owner was finishing up with a client, and she acknowledged me. I thought, ok she'll see me when she's done with her... Nope. After that client left, she took her next client without saying a word to me. Wait, what??? It's awful to have a reputation of not respecting client's/potential client's time. I shudder to think of how long my salon visits would be if I actually became a client. It was only after I voiced my frustration to the receptionist, within earshot of the owner, that I was seen. A hard pass.

I recently moved back to the DMV and was hoping MJB Holistic Hair Care would be able to meet my Hair care needs. To start, I arrived 10 to 15 Minutes prior to my appointment and quickly realized the only stylist there was running behind schedule. The owner, Myesha Bynum, then welcomed me and informed me that she was running behind schedule because her other stylist called out. She asked for patience and I agreed. I waited about 1.5 hours before my hair appointment started and did not leave until after 2pm. Please note: I arrived at @10:50am and I only booked a hair consultation, shampoo and trim. What hurts, is that because of the wait and my expressed hair concerns, Myesha offered and did a scalp analysis and was supposed to send me the results. My appointment was on July 24 and I am still waiting for the report more than 2 weeks later. I have called and sent emails but it appears my hair concerns fell on deaf ears. In addition to have growing hands, I expect to be treated with respect by anyone I entrust to complete a service for me. It appears that I am not valued as a new customer and that my friends is frustrating.
