I have been going to Melissa for years. My son, his wife and children also use her. I have always been pleased with the color, style and treatments. She is so kind, sweet and knows exactly what I want and she does it! I moved away for a while and I would even come back just to have her do my hair. I would recommend her highly. I don't know why this other review was so terrible. This is NOT how Melissa does things. I question the reason it was written, maybe the girl's hair was already ruined or she wanted the impossible. Melissa is wonderful!

I searched and searched Virginia Beach for someone who could give me what I wanted, someone I could trust with my hair, and then I found Melissa. She has been my stylist since about 2009. I LOVE her work. I don't understand the Fearless review. Some people will just never be happy I guess. She works with my schedule and I have never felt like she was just in it for the money, as a matter of fact, I feel like she really loves her job and wants to make sure everyone leaves her chair happy. I have never felt better about my hair. She just opened up the Independence Blvd. location and I completely recommend her... Especially if you are looking for someone who likes to work with color. She has always given me exactly what I ask for.

Worst experience ever. She can't cut hair, she will cut your hair in 3 to 5 minutes, and she can't style either. She can't even style it straight, which should be the easiest style, she can't work the hair with blow drier and brush and will flat iron it and the hair will still look a mess, I have a short bang that she can't absolutely make straight. And color. Ok she can't mix and give you what you want, kind of, but this is what she did: highlighted my hair then put the color, gave me the 3 minutes hair cut and the style I mentioned above, then told me that I needed a second treatment to really get the color I wanted. So after one monht it was time to recolor, I went in for the second highlighting process, and my hair of course is ruined now, and I know it's not her fault but too much highlighting will ruin your hair, but she just wanted my money, while she could have highlighted once for the same results. I paid a total of $ 280 for those two sessions, She just wanted my money. I do not recommend her at all. If you have a party to go to and you need your hair done she's someone you cannot count on, you will leave her salon looking a mess, not looking like you have been to one.
