Don't go here. That is my advice. I went in for long layers, Celest made a mess of my hair. She never created a guide, didn't section and started cutting in the back. Made me question where this child went to cosmetology school. But I wasn't mad. I went back so the guy, (Mr.D1?) could fix my hair. He cut my thick moving hair where it looked like a wig, with the back like olive oil. Better yet, Dudley Moor. Celest stood in the corner staring while he fixed my wig, I mean hair. It was creepy. It was the worst experience in 20 years I have ever experienced. I cut hair in two states, please own up to what you can and can't do. Take a class to learn 90, 45 degree angles, and use a guide. Show that guide to the client, so they see how short you are cutting their hair. I am posting here because they take no ownership in their mistakes and remove reviews. If I would have seen one honest review, I would have not gone there. Cosmetology school teaches you to pass board for licensing. Leaning to cut long layers, precision bob, fades. You learn that on your dime after school. You do not learn in the salon on customers.

I have been going to Markos D1 Hair Salon for a few years now. I live in Rosamond and I gladly drive up to Tehachapi to have my hair done. Celeste is awesome at covering my gray and adding blonde highlights to my hair. I have thick curly hair and she knows just how to cut and style my hair so it looks great every time.
I was horrified after my experience with Celeste at this salon. I went in for a cut where my all one length natural curls could dance around my face. I left with two inches of hair left and every single spiral I had was destroyed. I closed my eyes to trust the process and all this time later I am still devastated. Please don't let this women near your curls!
